To all of you who read my poetry, thank you,

Thanks for your support, I appreciate it.

I was originally hurt at work 3 and a half years ago,

They weren’t my friends anymore, those who came to Christmas parties.

After 18 years I was the enemy now, through all of the lies and criminal

Activity I did overcome, I went to court this past Thursday and won everything.

I am unfortunately fully disabled, I never quit and do my own work out and physical therapy,

I have made it through jobs my whole life and they asked how I did it, strength and prayers.

The world finally listened, A battle of scars, nightmares and a lot of pain, inside and out,

I write, swim, and walk, I will make it through, Thanks always, Have a great holiday season,

Stay safe and be strong always, Keith Garrett, Man of many thoughts.

  1. Hey, way to go! You rose above all odds and it finally worked out for you! I’m so very happy for you ๐Ÿ™‚ God bless your soul

  2. Congrats Man,
I have a sister in law experiencing this same thing. They give you smiles and condolences in the same room they have a party for the “new guy”! Stick to your faith and loved ones.
    Good luck.

  3. When I was 18 my car was hit by a drunk driver, sent into head on traffic, and hit again. I was told I was disabled and I’d never lead a normal life. I, too, lost all my friends (because I was no longer fun; instead, I was a reminder that we aren’t indestructible). It took time, and effort, and though I still I have limitations and the pain is there every day, my ‘new normal’ is a very able and fulfilled life. You’ve got the right attitude, and I hope your ‘new normal’ is a wonderful, enjoyable life as well. It’s true that what doesn’t kill us makes us stronger – it just might be in ways we never expected. I wish you all the best.
