THE LEGEND OF CUPID

THE LEGEND OF CUPID

He’s like a ghost, a spirit, or maybe a fable,

Visits us but once a year, the month of February.

We call it Valentine’s Day, after the man St. Valentine,

Lived did he so very long ago, another time.

Cupid as it’s told would draw back his bow,

Letting his magic arrow sail through the air.

Where it landed love between two would be created,

Two hearts would soon become one.

He then would go away, disappear for another year,

Where is it that this Angel of love that wore wings and cast a spell go?

No one knows, the legend of cupid is alive,

In those with a heart filled with love.

Happy Valentine’s day
