HOW MANY WILL DIE?

HOW MANY WILL DIE

Will man ever become wise, wars go on, whose next in line,

How many will die before there’s a man of smarts in the house of white?

Another dollar, for power or money another boy dies,

Who are those who hide on the inside?

Deals are made so a son or daughter go off to lose their lives,

How many will die before we grow wise,

When will we realize there should be only one side.

  1. THAT HOPE, THAT WISH, THAT MIRACLE, THAT DESIRE

You sleep, not a comfortable sleep
    But a troubled one
Your only hope that when you awake
    You will awake in wonderland

You take a path, not a clear-cut path
    But one full of meanders
Your only wish when you get to the other end
You will have arrived on the Promised Land

You close your eyes settled in a desert
This you do, not because you’re sleepy
    But you want a miracle
That when you open them…alas…an oasis before you

    You pick the remote control
    And flick through the channels
Your desire, that the next channel be interesting
Interesting and not as boring as the previous one
