THEY LIVE IN THE NIGHT

                      THEY LIVE IN THE NIGHT

                         BY KEITH GARRETT

The sun goes down on a small, Eastern town,

Those who live here do not wander in the dark.

Doors are locked, windows sealed until morning's light,

Stay inside fore death feeds on the living flesh.

They live in the night, they fly, they thirst for
 The blood inside,

No souls, hearts, or even a spirit of kind and good.

Darkness appears as if forever on this moon
 Filled night,

Who will be the terror stricken sacrifice.

They live in the night, they rest by morning's light,

Walking forever the earth until they surely die.

Now as the sun rises over this small town,

Death takes its sleep as mortal man rises to his day.
