HERE TODAY, GONE TOMORROW
Amazing it is compared to the length of time the world has been,
That our own existence, our lives are quite short.
Only a second in time are we here, but a moment,
Precious is every step we take, every spoken word.
We work to survive, we live to see all we can before it is our time,
Fore the day will come, we will have our day to die.
We are here today but as it is for most too late,
Grudges we hold, hate for others, we must put to an end.
Our time spent with loved ones is to be treasured,
We forget and we regret our time, we take for granted.
Gone tomorrow, it happens most often, the ticking of the clock,
All of us hold onto an hourglass, a little more sand for some,
We are here today, we hold not a clue of our tomorrow.
