THANKFUL
In our lives, there are many obstacles or struggles,
We all have our own fight, that to survive.
Taking care of our children and ourselves,
Tired each day as we pick ourselves up to the challenge.
We can focus on the stress and feel ill,
To think about our losses, that which we don't have.
As this year, another year comes to an end,
As Thanksgiving grows closer, think about blessings.
Thankful is the thought, what I'm thankful for,
To this point in my life, I have my health.
Thank God as I've been worried,
My sons and daughter are all healthy, a blessing.
In my life, I have again found love, she comes from
A lifetime ago, Yorba Linda days.
There is food on the table, a roof over our heads,
As many are without jobs it is that I am fortunate
Even though all is not the way I want.
I am alive, I am thankful,
As Fall is here and Thanksgiving is near,
Let us all take the time to be thankful for all
That's in our lives.

I’ve known a few angry men … they do not find peace. These men I know – they don’t want to be angry. They say they can’t help it, and they need to let their anger out; hence, the pounding of fists into the stone wall (or, in my case, attacking the refrigerator). For the record, I have never been physically abused. You captured the essence of an angry man very well.
Thank you for reading.
