SNOW AROUND THE LAKE
Look to the sky, oh! such a cold, cold-looking clouded sight,
Not too soon before, must have dropped a white blanket
Around this lake.
Trees covered with layers of frosty snow, standing,
Always standing,
Watching over this still, almost frozen water, surrounded
by the Winter snow.
Silent ar they until the howling winds teach them to speak,
Echoing the thrashing of their branches into the Winter’s day.
On the other side, across the water, beyond the tall, beautiful
Pine trees,
A cabin, a wood-covered cabin sits staring, always staring at
A lake that the neverending sky looks down upon.
There’s much, much, more than just snow around the lake,
There is a world of nature that lives together.
