IT HAPPENED IN AMESBURY
Fall came, Whistling of the wind through the trees,
Temperatures dropped as leaves floated to the ground.
Halloween comes again to a small Eastern town,
I lived there once as a child, the fear was not in my
Sight.
Remember do I laying on my parents bed on a moonlit
night,
I recall a noise, something nearby, echoing in the woods,
Scared was I as I thought I was dreaming in the night.
Young was I but hearing a neighbor screaming nearby,
Listening as sounds of frantic people traveled all around,
No trace of a woman, just a shadowy figure running
Between the trees.
It happened in Amesbury, Massachusetts, disappeared
One by one,
Something of a monster, in the woods, never could
Be found.
