A WINTER’S VISIT

He came to visit, It was time to say hello,

Been away for a while, he came with a song.

The snow is coming down, he’ll stay till the

Spring,

So glad that he’s here, a visit from a friend.

“How have you been” these words to him,

A slight smile on his face, no answer to give.

“It’s nice to see you” “so glad that you’re here”

Again, a smile, down his face runs a tear.

“Almost Christmas, my friend” “Thanks for

Your gift”

He looked at me and spoke, “what gift”

A winter’s visit.

“I hope you’ll stay, but I know in the

Spring you’ll go away,

He had a song for me about why he

Couldn’t stay.

“I once lived, but now I have a new home”

“Thanks for remembering me” ” I’m in

Heaven, also in your thoughts”
