WHEN MIDNIGHT STRIKES FOR CHRISTMAS

It’s getting late, in their homes, trees are

Standing guard,

Lights of many colors, bright and flashing,

A fire, burning.

Children are asleep, cozy in their beds with

Dreams in their heads,

Chilly and cold is the outside, snow falling

Down to a layer of white.

This is the night, watch the sky, and maybe

A sleigh and reindeer flying by,

The man in red, making his way across the

World with Rudolph leading the way.

When midnight strikes for Christmas as the

Decorated streets become empty, and the

Night goes to sleep, there may be a light

High in the sky, heaven’s light,

See with your heart, the angels dancing

To the sounds of musical harps of many.

From here to there, we celebrate life,

And everlasting life in a world beyond,

When midnight strikes for Christmas,

All is calm, peaceful, and love shines.
