WHEN ONCE WE LAUGHED

WHEN ONCE WE LAUGHED

Children were we back in a day, so far away,

We ran with the wind until the setting sun.

On Summer days we gathered with many games to play,

Time at the beach, swimming in the waves, walking in the sand.

We met there back when we were young, you had many names,

Nachos and Pizza sitting in the sand, we were something back then.

A skating rink, around and around we go, to songs we traveled,

Back when we were young, school dances and friends were fun.

When once we laughed so long ago, all the things we didn’t know,

So much energy and a life force, everything seemed forever to us.
