A LONG NIGHT

Many things happen on a long night,

A killer runs through the streets, he hides.

Music from a late concert is wild as a party roars,

When a heatwave strikes a clock moves much slower.

Surgery in the night is a nightmare for family, a clock ticks,

The night is dark, morning comes slowly for a man on the run.

Without sleep. how long is a night for one who thinks at night,

A long night it is for one who dislikes the darkness alone.

They lurk in the dark, peeking through windows, all night long,

A long night is different for many, it takes away so much from many.
