SHE SITS ALONE

SHE SITS ALONE

In her cozy, little home, she sits alone,

Out of the window the birds sing, they wait.

A lady wakes to her day, she sees the sun,

A smile on her face as she watches.

It’s a beautiful day as she strolls out into the yard,

Into her garden with food for her flying friends.

Bluebirds, scrub jays can sense the table of peanuts,

They are most happy as they gather a favorite food.

She watches as the Squirrels sit and eat,

She sits alone but never so alone.

There’s a peace within the trees and plants,

She thinks and dreams, quiet is the scene,

She sits alone with friends that roam.

SHE LIVED IN THE WOODS

SHE LIVED IN THE WOODS

Hidden from sunlight, beneath the tall aging trees,

Deep in the woods, alone lived she.

A different kind of world, quiet except for the creatures that be,

A woman so aged seems that she’d been here for eternity.

So far below that which grows, the falling rain can barely touch,

In a rickety old cabin, she had not much.

Only sounds of the woods kept her company,

In a dark, lost, existence, she lived to be so old, not of loneliness.

Many things did she to occupy her moments of a life meant to be,

Never a face shown to her, only memories of childhood dreams.

She lived in the woods, somewhere you see,

An old, old, woman gone and not missed, but who was she.?

SHADOWS

SHADOWS

With the morning light, shadows in our sight,

Shadows from the moonlight, those that bring fright.

From a beautiful tree, shadows upon the ground are found,

Within a breeze, the shadows move just as the branches on this tree.

Shadows on the mountains move with the passing of clouds in the sky,

Shadows fade and disappear with the changing of the day.

As the sun rises up high till the clock ticking takes it away,

Shadows move and take shapes then they fade like the day.

SENSES

“SENSES”

Within us, there are things that make us feel and communicate,
They are sensitive but powerful to the human function.
Necessary are these but not threatening to the survival of ones being,
They give us the ability to seek out and experience the wonders of the world.
The sense of smell gives us the ability to distinguish between fragrances,
To like or dislike what is in the air.
To see is to have the chance of being able too personally witness in color,
Or black and white pictures of the world remembered by your own mind.
Amazing is to hear fore it is the sense of many musical sounds,
To the ears the knowledge of whom or what is near you.
Now the sense of taste is a great and remarkable experience for all,
Eating foods and enjoying drinks, the word flavor means what to your mouth.
Touch or feel can be an incredible and exciting pleasure to enjoy,
It is the sense that man and woman may share together.

SEEKING TOMORROW

SEEKING TOMORROW

There’s no way to see it, search and search,

I watch for tomorrow as today live, only live.

If this next should be a blessing given to me,

Will I see all the beauty that’s put before these eyes.?

Blinded by the past, painful memories still a vision,

Walk forward I do into perhaps tomorrow, seeking.

Dream upon dream and hope everlasting,

Energy and strength will guide me from this day.

Seeking tomorrow is a heartfelt thought to be,

Seeking tomorrow, when it comes watching I’ll be.

SELF PORTRAIT

SELF PORTRAIT

I imagine myself in a different way, a different picture,

From inside the way that I feel, not the picture I see.

Take a look in the mirror, my face not the same as I feel,

It seems that when I look, a stranger stares back at me.

When I walk away am I still the same as who I saw in there,

I create a self portrait from my thoughts of how I see me,

Not a mirror image that sets his eyes always back at me.

SEEING HAPPINESS

SEEING HAPPINESS

Happiness seen is a friendly day with no anger in the way,

The way it is when laughing children play, no worries today.

To see happiness with your heart is a smile on a woman’s face,

One to be remembered in your night’s dreams, happiness seen.

A beautiful song that touches the heart in a moment, happiness,

Seeing two with love in their eyes, a vision of happiness.

Seeing happiness is seeing a very special miracle created,

Happiness every day a prayer that this light may touch another.

SHADOW OF A MAN

SHADOW OF A MAN

For so long, from the beginning man stood very strong,

He would come and go as age would take away his strength.

Throughout time we are all related to others, descendants,

Our lives carry on, we live in the blood of family forever.

There is forever something left behind, a part that lingers,

A shadow, not like any but the shadow of a man always and forever,

The wandering shadow of a man always standing.

SAIL AWAY WITH ME

SAIL AWAY WITH ME

A slight breeze blowing across the bay today, the sun will shine,

A few passing clouds but a great day to sail away with beautiful you.

Free to wander a different part of life, escape together across the water,

What a beautiful day, such a pretty smile on a beautiful face ready to sail.

I brought wine and cheese and If It gets chilly something stronger you see,

A blanket to cover up with as the day loses the sun, some music and some love.

Sail away with me beyond all that we every day see, just you and me, the sea,

Remember our day together, our time In the sun sailing Along the horizon line.

Sail away with me, forever we’ll sail together until go away forever.

RENDEZVOUS

RENDEZVOUS

Love taken for granted, desire and temptation so sinful,

A smile, a glance from a stranger not yet known, danger looms’.

One who has everything but yet nothing at all cries Inside,

Another whom seeks’ the attention, In return attention finds’.

Two smiles, two different hearts’ wanting adventure without thought,

A soul with nothing to lose but will lose, she who chances to throw It all away.

Rendezvous, secretly meeting, passion destroys’ many hearts’ In a circle,

Pieces of a life scattered, only a misguided feeling from being forever shattered.

A body that sins’ as another whom loves lets out tears’ of forgiveness,

Does also sin with the life taken from a man with nothing to lose but everything.

Rendezvous,
