LAST NIGHT I DREAMED

LAST NIGHT I DREAMED

Last night I dreamed I lost a child,

The horror, sadness, all emotions seemed so real.

As if someone had taken him away,

Searched did I everywhere, Oh! the pain.

In my dream another gone, one disappearing,

This was not real as I was dreaming.

In my dream, I saw paper napkins floating downstream,

Representing the loss, them going away.

In my dream I awoke, a dream within a dream,

As if I now understood the full meaning.

When I did awaken I felt relief,

They did not die, they were not taken.

It was truly understood, my children were now gone,

There was some loss as they would not return.

My children of whom I loved so much were reborn into the adult world,

I’ll forever miss the laughter and play of the young innocent ones.

LAND ACROSS THE SEA

LAND ACROSS THE SEA

Make your way across the water, across the sea,

Let the flowing ocean that surrounds us take you.

On a journey under the earth night sky to a land,

On the water, it rests, hills of grassy green, a place.

See this lady they call Ireland, land across the sea,

Beautiful sounds of music from there, take a journey.

SOMETIMES I THINK I KNOW

“SOMETIMES I THINK I KNOW”

Sometimes I think I know what love Is but does love know who I am,

Will love find me when I’m lost or when I’m hiding from the world.

Sometimes I think I know why life can be so unfair,

Things’ I treasure seem lost and nothing Is anywhere.

Sometimes I think I know why laughter has no thought,

Do I see the joy and happiness that come from the heart?

Sometimes I think I know why all that lives Is born to die,

If I’m sure of anything then It’s my hunger to survive.

Sometimes I think I know and at times I have no clue,

Will tomorrow even know me, where there be a place to think.

KUNG FU SAN SOO, TAI CHI TOO

KUNG FU SAN SOO,

TAI CHI TOO.

There’s a man they call sifu which stands for master,

A student knows not to offend him, for a stranger disaster.

He’s not one for violence, but in class he demands silence,

He teaches kung fu with some good advice too.

He’ll teach you to dance the art as he knows,

With each step you take, he’ll show you the blows.

I watch from the background I think he can see,

I look and I listen, he teaches me.

There must be some magic fore it looks like ballet,

Open your eyes it’s self defense, it is not for play.

With the speed of a leopard and the skill of a snake,

Do not attack him, His moves he will not fake.

Thank you “Sifu” Tony Horton, you are missed

KINGDOM NEARBY

KINGDOM NEAR BY

Where shall we go from here in the end of days,

When our time is done, we no longer awake to the rising sun.

Cease do we to be the mortal man,

We’ll live again in a spectacular land.

Our daily thoughts and tasks are no more,

We see not again the moon so full.

There’s a kingdom nearby waiting for us,

Dream of a place where all is great.

Kingdom nearby, kingdom in the sky,

Walk into forever, stand with the king almighty,

Rest when you die, fore eternity we fly.

KEEPER OF THE LIGHT

KEEPER OF THE LIGHT

Up in the air, he spreads his wings,

He stretches to the heavens and sees many things.

This god of the sun, KEEPER OF THE LIGHT,

Soars in the sky on an eternal flight.

So peaceful is he, away up so high,

Forever and ever, this spirit will fly.

Keeper of the light, what do you see,?

Beyond the sun, a mystery to me.

Through the wind you travel, round and round,

Watching over this star, from you there’s no sound.

I can only imagine you’re a spectacular sight,

Fly, way up high, Keeper of the light.

KARMA

” KARMA”

What goes around comes around, or Is It all upside down,

People get what they deserve but who are those who deserve.?

We get what we get, what kind of philosophy would that be,

Are we punished by god In the end or Is there ongoing punishment.

‘Karma” the belief that what you do bad or good, will, In fact, affect you,

The thought that a person will suffer the consequences for their wrong.

It appears that so many escape all the criminal acts that they do In life,

Could It be that through all of this that their every day Is In some way a prison?

I believe we all pay each day for that which we do In a bad way,

Unless we are of good or change our ways then again one day we will surely pay.

THEY WERE DIFFERENT

” THEY WERE DIFFERENT”

He walked down the street full of laughter and fun,

He was poor with no money but no worries had he.

She was from a different world, of money and material things’,

A young woman with everything but she had nothing.

He was free with dreams’ that were possibly only dreams’,

What he wanted was only to be, what he wanted was she.

She was art, dance, and culture passed on by a family,

What she wanted was to be set free, treasure was not just money.

He appeared as a man whose clothing meant he had no worth,

But what Is the worth of a well dressed man with no Integrity?

They were different she and he, drawn together by feelings’,

The heart, the eyes, the touch of man to woman and woman to man.

They were different but they were the same, walking hand In hand,

With what’s love and pain.

JUST ONCE MORE

JUST ONCE MORE

It has been a while since I’ve seen you, been awhile, I lost your smile,

Wondering just what would I do, never hearing that soft voice from you.

I hold you tight In my heart and mind, each day I wonder what I might find,

Tell me darling what a mans’ to do, If never again a love as you.

Just once more, a dance with you, just once more, a walk In the park,

A hug from you, a kiss for two, just once more, I ask of you.

It has been a while since we were two, been a while, love for you,

Just one more song, together just once more, just once more.

Watched you sleep so many nights’ ago, felt your breath against my soul,

It has been a while since love was shown, just once more, I’m on my own.

In my dreams’ I hear your knock at my door, I awake and you’re not there,

It has been a while, just once more, hold my hand, just once more.

JUST LISTEN

JUST LISTEN!

On the shore, sounds of the ocean are heard,

You can hear crashing of the waves, close your eyes.

In the afternoon, a Summer breeze, it whispers to me,

A windy day, Just listen! to the sounds that come your way.

A cricket on a warm, humid night, silence visits but there is life,

Just listen! you can hear whatever visits your wanting mind.
