MYSTICAL DREAM

                               MYSTICAL DREAM

I was dazed and confused, sick again,

It was nobodys fault but mine, too much
  Custard pie.

During the battle of evermore, down by the seaside,
  Eating a tangerine,

I lived in good times, bad times, I had friends who died.

Traveled did I to the houses of the holy, I was the rover,

Ten years gone by now, how many more times for war.

I visited the black mountainside, there she stood, a
  Black country woman,

A mean, black dog, she had by the name of Kashmir.

She took a walk with me out on the tiles, a night flight,

For your life, you had to fight, live by the laws of the land,
  Or see the gallows pole.

In the light, her eyes were bright, that's the way she looked,

I said "I can't quit you baby, since I've been loving you"

I found four sticks down by the ocean, a cross for both of us,

In my time of dying, this was a celebration day,

Babe, I'm gonna leave you, I see my stairway to heaven.

MYSTICAL TUNES OF LONG AGO

               MYSTICAL TUNES' OF LONG AGO

Like mystical Knights,' from a time long since past,

These three surviving warriors,' are back at last.

A golden god, wailing tunes' that echo through
  Our minds,

With emotion to his audience, a performer so fine.

From a magical guitarist, born back In time,

Plays' a bow on the strings,' like a wizard casts' a spell.

On his organ he plays' sounds,' like they were made up
  In heaven,

Also a guitar, would be another weapon.

Together a power, none dreamed of before,

A masterpiece of song, never seen on a stage floor.

Missing from them, one fallen warrior,

Whose hammering on his drums,' shook the ground
  Like thunder.

They called him bonzo, now a spirit In a new world of
  Wonder,

From England they were born, some time ago,

Their music lives on, forever you know.

Robert Plant, Jimmy Page, John Bonham, John Paul Jones,

  Led Zeppelin, Keith Garrett

A BASEBALL DREAM

                         A BASEBALL DREAM

On a farm, he grew up, the early days of the game,

A bat of his own, was made from a tree that stood alone.

He had a name for his bat, a certain magic it contained,

Circumstances would get in the way, a dream put aside.

Disappeared without a trace, until he arrived on a day,

His special bat carried in hand, this was to be his last chance.

For only a moment, he would stand beneath the lights,

A baseball dream, before he faded into the night.

ALONG A COUNTRY ROAD

                     ALONG A COUNTRY ROAD

These things I might find, strolling along a
  Country road,

From my mind, I can create a day or reality
  Along my way.

I see the sun rising, in the early morning sky,
  My day begins,

Dream do I of a perfect setting, fields and hills
  of beautiful color.

Nothing can go wrong, not in this made up scene,
  That I want to be,

Swim do I in a pond, that appears along a country
  Road, quiet and alone.

There is a wind, blowing through the trees, across
  The field I feel,

Haystacks scattered in a country dream, a farm where
  I wish to be.

Along a country road, all possibilities unfold, from a
Dream, all that can be seen.

A BRIDGE I CROSS

                        A BRIDGE I CROSS

Far it reaches, through my time,

My travel across it, a never ending journey.

Obstacles, are sometimes in my way,

I'll hurdle over, or push out of my way.

  Moving along, searching, always searching,

For just a little more of things, not to hurt me.

  Not ever knowing what's ahead,

Stop I will not, until the end.

BEST FRIENDS

                              BEST FRIENDS

Do you remember them, those left behind
  As a child,

You ran under the sun, played until the day
  Was done.

Games played, on a long ago Summer day,
  Old friends here today,

There are times when great friends become
  Strangers, lost in the background.

Again, as our journey moves on, a stranger we
Meet may turn into that best friend,

For just a moment in your life, a best friend
Passes by, another is best friend forever.

What are best friends, there is a connection,
  Something that brings us together,

Just as any relationship, it may grow or crumble
With time, give and take, to learn.

To be best friends with anyone in this life, is a
Precious and valuable gift, take hold,

Best friends I had, once upon a time, in a town
  Surrounded by hills and trees.

It was a reality for me, at a time when I really
Needed it, today they are everywhere,

Some are closer than I did believe, others now
A part of the breeze, maybe the sea,

Best friends from here and there, now and then,
  Maybe, again and again.

AS LONG AS WE’RE TOGETHER

                   AS LONG AS WE'RE TOGETHER

Once in a while, I travel back in time, to a
  Place I walked,

Through my time of youth, where I played and
  Ran wild.

I knew of her as a child, back in the days of
  Mischief,

Young, and full of energy were we, never seemed
  To be tired.

The heat from the Summer sun, wasn't so harsh
  At that age,

Growing up in a town of many friends, and memories
  So great.

We lived for the moment, as many moments would
  Pass by, Into the future,

How is it that the grandparents we once had, we
  Have now become.

We changed, and went our separate ways, finding
Our way in this strange world,

Becoming parents, having children, and grandchildren,
  As the cycle goes on.

Full circle, as today we find ourselves in the same place,
  After a lifetime apart,

As long as we're together nothing else matters, time
  Comes when we need to

Just think of ourselves, and let all others live, and move
  Along into their future.

As long as we're together, everything will forever be better.

BEFORE AND AFTER

                     BEFORE AND AFTER

There was a time when I was not here,

No thoughts, no name or Identity were mine.

I had no pain or sorrow, not a thing for me to know,

Where was I before I became me, somewhere waiting?

A time will come when I am no longer here, will I
  have thoughts,

A name remembered, my Identity will not be this body
  Or mind.

Again there will be no pain or sorrow, I will be somewhere else,

Before and after, heaven bound, where was I before my
  First sound?

A PAGE MISSING

                    A PAGE MISSING

A life I find not finished, yet quite incomplete,

There's a page missing, something not found,

Writing about my time, a piece not described.

Talks with children unsettled, much more be said,

Differences between a father, and daughter are unsaid.

A shock to my head, an accident did take fro me,

A page missing, what for me is still unwritten.

I BECOME REAL

                                    I BECOME REAL

I am fantasy, I come to life in dreams in the night,

I am not real, a made up story created from a pen.

A cartoon, monster, fables, or nursery rhymes,

I become real, with the Imagination from a mind.

Superheroes and Frankenstein do not walk the streets,

Magic spells, wizards, and wooden boys, are not
  Really seen.

I become real, when the world is a scary place to see,

All things that are Impossible are me when you believe,

I become real, when what you pretend does never end.
