“UNIVERSE”

Created within me Is the answer to the beginning of time,

Is there a start or finish, an ending or beginning to what’s mine.?

In many a direction I must be,

Everything travels through my darkness, who knows what their Is to see.

Older than anything, how long have I really existed,

Where did I come from, Is the answer a mystery never to be discovered.?

All things that live within my space,

Rotating forever, will they always be In this place.?

I am the universe, not knowing what I really am,

With no air or much light, not a visitor from your land.

I’ll stay here, whom can say just how long,

Perhaps till an end comes to my time.

BEYOND MY REACH

With my hand stretched to the sky i can’not touch the stars so high,

Nor the clouds, a falling star, or the sun going down.

The wind, i can’not grab hold, a bird in flight,

A dream in the night, never a yesterday.

Beyond my reach is not my dreams,

It is not that which i pray for.

The hand of god i can’not touch, in my heart i can surely take hold,

It is not hope, nor faith, it is not a tomorrow.

Beyond my reach are many things,

Beyond my reach is not everything.

SOAKED WITH PAIN

Listen to me lord, here i stand in the rain,

I’m soaked with pain, the hurt that haunts another.

My eyes hold many tears as it is you that can ease her sorrow,

Give this angel of mine the strength and faith to make it through.

The rain does not stop, the burning water that touches my flesh,

That which she feels i feel, Lord please! give me her pain.

As it rests in my mind and spirit i ask of you to take it from me,

It is you O’ lord that are stronger than i, help me to help her.

The time has come for me to give, isn’t love about sacrifice,

Straight from my heart, Lord what is it that i might do.?

I sit here with tears in my heart as she cries for a mother,

Lord i put my hand in yours, give her my hand today.

A BEGGAR, A THIEF

He wanders the streets, a taste for food, a thirst for drink,

Cold to the bones, waiting for a warm place to sleep.

Asking for that which comforts his pain,

Pride and self respect are put aside.

A human being, a man with a story,

A beggar today without any glory,

Taking what he wants, no morals or remorse.

Criminal thoughts, a good man not,

Working for nothing, he does not care.

He steals anything, he has no heart,

A thief many times over, a quitter of sorts.

A beggar, a thief, so many differences of course.

A FACE THAT LIES

The devils eyes have a face that lies,

It smiles at you with promises so false.

Giving you gifts of sinful things,

Changing your appearance, a picture of greed and evil.

It taunts you into believing that bad is good,

Material belongings are most precious, love not kind.

Stand and be recognized, a face that lies,

Don’t stare in the eyes of what does not cry.

Accept not a wish, not a gift from a demon spirit,

Give not of yourself, in an instance he’ll own your soul.

A face that lies has many by his side,

They walk as you walk, do not be fooled, this is no heavenly stroll to the sky.

AS LONG AS WE’RE TOGETHER

Once in awhile i travel back in time to a place i walked,

Through my time of youth where i played and ran wild.

I knew of her as a child back in the day of mischief,

Young and full of energy were we, never seemed to be tired.

The heat from the Summer sun wasn’t so harsh at that age,

Growing up in a town of many friends and memories so great.

We lived for the moment as many moments would pass by into the future,

How is it that the grandparents we once had we have now become.?

We changed and went our separate ways, finding our way in this strange world,

Becoming parents, having children and grandchildren as the cycle goes.

Full circle as today we find ourselves in the same place after a lifetime apart,

As long as we’re together nothing else matters, time comes when we need to

Just think of ourselves and let all others live and move along into their future.

As long as we’re together, everything will forever be better.

SEPTEMBER STORM

The heat lingers throught the days, the sun bright in the sky,

Drought that leaves the land without water, nothing from up high.

Water becomes most precious as everything stays dry and hot,

Animals are desperate, frantic, as their search moves down from the hills.

The mountains are drying up, waterfalls vanishing, turning to dirt and stone,

Praying for a September storm that will cool this heated land of decay.

What a dream it will be to watch as the sky is covered with rain filled clouds,

A much wanted breeze that will carry the clouds here to this dry desert land.

A September storm that will bring the rain down upon us, wash away the dust and thirst,

Fill the lakes and rivers, bring water to where is needed, cleanse the sky that is dry,

Bring it down, many storms down upon this hardened ground, dear lord, a September storm.

TWO ROADS

There’s a right and wrong way of thinking on certain issues,

We should all know right from wrong.

Good versus evil is a way we choose to be,

Think before you act, in a instance lives are changed.

There are two roads to walk, two roads of thought,

Choose the right road and possibly an easy stroll,

The wrong road, a good chance in a cage you’ll go.

When acts of horrible violence are from the mind planned,

Reasons why matter not to those shattered families

Whom remain standing in a blood stained land.

Analyzed theory’s about who did it and why,

Don’t take away the tears from a mothers eyes.

Raising your children, being in their lives,

The signs of trouble are there, don’t close your eyes.

Two roads to travel in a persons thought filled mind,

It seems so simple, why do so many have to die.?

WHISPER IN THE WIND

The wind, it howls around the world but can it see,

It knows where it’s going, we hear it through the trees.

Something lives within the wind, energy from a beginning, from

Everything that dies, to the wind it gives a little.

Within the wind what might be alive, are there voices inside,

Listen in the night, whisper in the wind, what might speak back.?

What sounds are within the wind, things that give this not seen thing voice,

Cracking branches, leaves swirling through the empty streets.

Shutters bouncing back and forth, wind chimes singing in the night,

Elements of created things whisper in the wind from the beginning until now.

THE LAST THING I REMEMBER

I fell, downward i was going, i was up high, below no sky,

With a loud splash, the sound in my ears, sinking down.

The last thing i remember was being wet and cold, gasping,

Struggling to stay afloat, keep my head above the water.

I felt like i was spinning, losing control, getting heavy and weak,

Darkness was coming over my eyes, the last thing i remember.

I’m drifting, no longer am i cold and wet, like there’s another breath in me,

I am going somewhere, they guide me far away, to where i wonder.?

Everything is behind me now, as if a memory, a long ago yesterday,

A new life awaits me as my last moments leave me without pain.
