FOR THIS RANCH, WILL YOU DIE?

FOR THIS RANCH, WILL YOU DIE?

This place of beauty has stood here for generations,

Built by a great, great, Grandfather a long time ago.

Times have changed, in this world around a ranch,

The fight to keep what is yours has been since time
  Began.

You battle, climb the hill with sweat and tears, for
  This ranch,

Family before you have sacrificed in ways you can't
  Understand,

What does your heritage mean to you, will you die if they
  Try to take your home?

For this ranch, will you die, will you shed a tear for those
  Who bled before your time?

GHOSTS CAN TALK

                               GHOSTS CAN TALK

Most of this world never truly believes that life
  Ends not here,

Death may not be a misery that we all wait to endure.

We are surrounded, if indeed you do not believe in this,

There are those and many long ago spirits which
  Wander alone.

Most of us are not enough in thought, or listening to
  Hear ghosts talk,

Heaven is there, but why are they everywhere? Ghosts
   Can talk, they walk.

We want to believe that we are never ending, fear that
  We are not forever.

Odd things happen, strange sounds in the night, misplaced
  Or lost items,

They speak in ways we can not ever dream, watch us as
  We slumber in the night.

                                  GHOSTS CAN TALK

DRIVE, JUST DRIVE

                               DRIVE, JUST DRIVE

Jump into my car, the motor is running,

The morning sun is shining on this beautiful,
  black, machine.

I've put the top down, we're gonna drive, just drive,

Feel the wind blowing through your hair, music
  In our ears.

Let's head for the coast, we'll drive along the ocean
  Shore,

Miles and miles of open road, watch as the waves
  Touch the sandy beach.

Let's drive far, we have all the time we desire,

Through the hills' of green grass, we'll drive the
  country roads.

For miles, there's only you and me, drive, just drive,

Nothing but beauty is seen as we head for anywhere,

High into the mountains is where our day takes us.

Almost to the sky, we can see everything from where
  We drive,

We drive into the night, we drive, just drive.

WHAT CAN A BLIND MAN SEE?

WHAT CAN A BLIND MAN SEE

From the sound of anger, a pictured face from a mind,

A clap of thunder, faces of darkness, a storm on the rise.

The touch of a woman, from her fingertips to his face,

Love can be seen from a man with a heart of dreams'.

A place with no light, what might a man see with no sight,

Only that which he feels', always that which Is real.

What can a blind man see, he sees what Is missing,

Blinded from the eyes of of the ones' whom miss what
  They see.

WESTERN WORLD

                             WESTERN WORLD

The old west, a place where a cowboy could
  Roam the land,

Drifters could be seen riding in from the horizon,
  Long ago.

Wagon trains with families, seeking that new world
  Of hope and prosperity,
Bandits and outlaws, robbing banks, criminals of
  The day, hanging from trees.

A western town, where a sheriff walked the street,
  Trying to keep some peace,

Gamblers could be heard, drinking and howling,
  From a saloon long ago.

Dance hall girls dressed for the time, somewhere
  Back in a western time,

The eighteen hundreds, where pioneers carved a trail
  Through the years,

Western world, where families worked the land, the
Future was a mystery to be Seen.

SUNRISE

                                         SUNRISE

Darkness disappears' as day comes to life,

Footsteps of mine, traveling the morning light.

The fog begins' to lift, showing the beauty of God,

I walk this way, with hope by my side.

Quiet as It's early, fore sleep still lingers,'

On the move are these legs, tired, forever tired.

Rays of light, shine through the distant clouds,

Sunrise has a story, for a man roaming alone.

Everything has changed, as the days' seem the same,

A song, he sings' a song In my ear always heard.

My favorite music, from the man from Jersey,

Sunrise, sweet sunrise, each day my journey.

I’M JUST A POOR BOY

                             I'M JUST A POOR BOY

No car do I own, socks' full of holes, day by day,
  An hourly wage,

I lay there In bed, worrying about tomorrow, a bed
  Of my own.

No credit cards' or a bank account, my only money,
  In an aging wallet,

A table of food always, dinner as a poor boy will
  Gladly serve.

Clothes on my back, shoes that take me to where I
  survive,

Blesses of many, In a world of sorrow and strife.

I'm just a poor boy, with a smile and a tear, a wish
  And a fear,

What I lack In gold Is made up of treasure, discovered
  Every day.

I'll take a trip somewhere from my mind, to a place of
  Fantasy,

A rich man can't find, where a poor boy can't buy.

I'm just a poor boy, with so much to give, I give to you,

I'm just a poor boy, what's a poor boy to do.

HEAVEN IS WHERE?

                             HEAVEN IS WHERE

We live our lives, from day to day,

Wondering what could be, when we have
  To go away.

Searching for the meaning, of this thing
  We call life,

Maybe we should enjoy our time here,
  Instead of wondering why.

Families have lived, since the beginning of
  Time,

Where have they gone, I think In my mind.

Another dimension, not for us to understand,

A garden of Eden, perhaps In a far off land.

No suffering of pain or sorrow, could this be,

  Another plane of reality.

Heaven Is where, I do not know,

Far, far away, I dream this Is so.

FOREVER

                                  "FOREVER"

Above, from the wide open sky, the sun shines
  Ever so bright,
Will It warm our world always, or one day say a
  Farewell?
What If the wind that we can not see goes away,

Will It again blow across the hills and make the
  Trees sway.
The glowing moon sits like a lighthouse In the sky,

Watching, always watching but for how long will It rise.

The rain falls from the sky, from the clouds that drift
  On by,
Will the drops take from the Earth, the thirst so as not
  to die.
See the animals run through the woods and across
  The plains,
Today they live somewhat free, tomorrow will they be.

We live, we love, dance to the music, sing from our heart's,

Search for the happiness that makes It all worth living.

There are things that may be never, things never lost,

Nothing lasts forever, fore forever we are not.

A SIMPLE MIND, A HEART SO PURE

A SIMPLE MIND, A HEART SO PURE

He lived a life of dreams, the world was a strange place,

A boy so different to others, he learned to run away.

A simple mind, called stupid for the way he saw things,

A girl he would befriend, under a big Oak tree they
  Would swing.

A simple mind, a heart so pure belonged to this thinking
  Man,

He saw all things in such a simple manner, a gentle soul.

Time would take him full circle, back to where he started,

He would love, lose, and then love again, a girl on a swing.

A child of his own, married did he this love from childhood,

He had everything to share, sickness would take his love away,

A simple mind, a heart so pure, would bury his wife under that
  Oaktree of before.
