WATCH THE WIND
The trees dance and sing, they speak,
Swaying back and forth, up above.
Leaves, and many material things are
Swept away, through the streets,
See the windows shake to what moves.
Grass is like a flowing wave,
There's a presence that moves.
The sea crashes against the rocks,
It's a force that drives its course.
There lies within the eyes, a picture,
From all that it does, a form exists,
Watch the wind, see it travel, watch the
Wind.

THE GIFT OF LOVE AND PEACE
December is upon us once again,
A new year will soon arrive,
We all have inside, our own struggles
And fears in life, faith comforts.
I’ve learned to count my losses
Instead of that which rests in front
Of me.
Many wonderful people and great
Things have been shown to me, now.
The scars we carry, but the pain drifts
Away it seems, sorrow fades,
Is my fight or challenge any greater
Or less than another’s?
A picture says a thousand words,
Tonight, frozen in time, a memory,
You all are here, each one of you
Creates this moment, I am blessed.
Faces of old do not visit this place,
Different smiles shine tonight,
The gift of love is taken for granted,
Not easily earned, disappears.
The choice is ours to love or hate,
On this night, let your love be known,
There is one life that we have to live,
Much to the world we may give.
Peace is a desire for all of mankind,
Peace lives amongst us tonight,
The gift of love and peace is a precious
Treasure not to be taken for granted,
A gift from heaven, a gift from God.

WHEN MIDNIGHT STRIKES FOR CHRISTMAS
It’s getting late, in their homes, trees are
Standing guard,
Lights of many colors, bright and flashing,
A fire, burning.
Children are asleep, cozy in their beds with
Dreams in their heads,
Chilly and cold is the outside, snow falling
Down to a layer of white.
This is the night, watch the sky, and maybe
A sleigh and reindeer flying by,
The man in red, making his way across the
World with Rudolph leading the way.
When midnight strikes for Christmas as the
Decorated streets become empty, and the
Night goes to sleep, there may be a light
High in the sky, heaven’s light,
See with your heart, the angels dancing
To the sounds of musical harps of many.
From here to there, we celebrate life,
And everlasting life in a world beyond,
When midnight strikes for Christmas,
All is calm, peaceful, and love shines.

ALL IS CALM
The sun goes down, the eve of Christmas
Is now,
Dinner is done, to bed go the waiting
Children.
A soft, warm fire crackling in the dark,
Drinks shared by two, music on the radio.
Lights from the tree are flashing colorfully,
It’s warm inside as it is cold outside.
The streets are getting quiet, peace in
The homes,
Thoughts of a year passing, thoughts
Of you.
All is calm on a most wonderful night,
On the couch, we sit together, arms
Around you,
Thankful is the word.

THINGS OF THE COLD
An icy-covered lake skated on,
Snow is falling down, there is not
A sound.
A winter wind, blowing against
The skin,
A river of water that does not end.
Rain in the night, cold coming down,
Hail from the sky, hitting the ground.
A snowman dressed, standing alone,
Icicles hanging from rooftops, things
Of the cold.
A room without heat, fog, and sleet,
Things of the cold, Winter weather
With no shoes on your feet.

A SIMP;E CHRISTMAS
A SIMPLE CHRISTMAS
Winter and Christmas, such a beautiful time
Of year,
It seems to bring out the best and worse in
Peopls.
Nerves are shot, stress is at its highest, anger
Is strong,
A simple Christmas is a most wonderful kind
Of all.
A warm fire in the night, dinner always cooking
Is a sight,
A tree of color, lit up in the dark, candles
Glowing, love is growing.
A roof over your head, a warm drink. and some
Treats Before a warm bed,
Time with the ones you love, Good night, and a
Thank You to God above.

RUDOLPH
I have lived many lifetimes, born
Far away,
In the snow, a dream place, the
North Pole.
I live in a village where magical
Things are alive,
There is a team of reindeer
That I will guide beyond the
Night.
Once a year, for so many, I
Have lost count quite a while
Ago,
The man in red sits at the reins,
As I guide him across the sky.
I have seen it all, been everywhere
Where children laugh and cry,
My name is Rudolph, watch for me
In the sky,
On the eve of Christmas, I fly.

MERRY CHRISTMAS!
Christmas for me is the greatest time
Of the year,
It doesn’t change the world or its
Problems.
Our problems or worries don’t
Disappear in December,
You don’t have to let the holidays
Get you down at all.
I take December as a break to enjoy
And reflect on the good that’s in my
Life, I am in good health, a few aches
And pains,
A roof over my head, food on the
Table each night, a warm bed to
Rest my head.
A few luxuries, such as a fireplace
And a shower, clothes on my back,
I have my own stress and worries in
Life, but they can’t consume me as I
Celebrate.
There’s much to be thankful for,
Light some candles, decorate,
Appreciate family and friends,
There’s something to find within
The winter months.
Christmas is once a year, raise a
Glass and find something to cheer
About,
Pray for those who are less fortunate,
Those without a home, less than you
Have.
Merry Christmas and a better New
Year, for all. Keith Garrett
AT THE VILLAGE
The snow is falling in a faraway place,
It’s close to Christmas, so much to do
Here.
Getting ready for his trip around the
Globe,
The man in red, resting at the North
Pole.
At the village, elves are making toys,
The reindeer are eating, preparing
For their voyage.
Snowmen are alive, in their winter dress,
The smell of Gingerbread, candy canes,
And eggnog.
Christmas Eve is here in the village
My dear,
A jolly old man and his reindeer.
Set are they, for their flight
Across the sky,
A ho! ho! ho! from Santa as they
Are on their way.

CHRISTMAS IS A FRAME OF MIND
Decorations are a visible scene to Christmas,
Christmas is a frame of mind, we must find.
From your heart and soul, a feeling deep
Inside,
You have to believe in magical possibilities
And dream.
Take yourself away to what this season may
Bring,
All wishes and miracles are a winter fantasy
And reality.
Christmas is a frame of mind, it exists and
Grows with those whom believe,
Close your eyes and find what makes you
Happy inside.
