A ROAD TRAVELED
When I awoke to a morning not yesterday,
Young was I as my first footsteps were learned.
Walked did I into each different day,
The more I traveled, the more I changed.
I learned of words, I saw many things,
The sun I saw rise but now it's overhead.
The leaves I saw were shaken from the trees,
As the world turned, again the leaves were to be.
Once a young boy played in the snow,
The more he walked, the less the snow would fall.
Sometimes he would see but things could not be seen,
A road traveled so fast, a blind man was he.
He walked very far, a life on his feet,
He's on his way back, almost home, older than he
Used to be.

WHAT DOES THE SKY SEE?
WHAT DOES THE SKY SEE?
From up so high looking down upon,
Does the sky see me as I look back.
On the hills' the wind blows' through the trees,
And swims does the ocean,
Is this what the sky sees If only It had eyes.
Can It see the birds' fly,
Or the squirrels' climb the trees In the morning light.
What does the sky see,
Does the sky see me,
Possibly only what your Imagination dreams'.

WHAT CAN A BLIND MAN SEE?
WHAT CAN A BLIND MAN SEE
From the sound of anger, a pictured face from a mind,
A clap of thunder, faces of darkness, a storm on the
Rise.
The touch of a woman, from her fingertips to his face,
Love can be seen from a man with a heart of dreams.
A place with no light, what might a man see with no
Sight,
Only that which he feels', always that which Is real.
What can a blind man see, he sees what Is missing,
Blinded from the eyes of of the ones' who miss what
They see.

POETRY IN MOTION
"POETRY IN MOTION"
Always walking, consistently moving along or active,
Constantly thinking, analyzing things' and people
Around.
It's motion that keeps my body and mind alive and
Running,
It can only stop If I stop, I'm a man In motion.
Writing about the world and those In my mind, my
Wondering mind,
Has given me sight, the ability to visualize and
better understand.
Words' have no meaning without the mind to Interpret
Definition,
Poetry Is song and emotion without Instrumental sound.
A combination of these now lives In me, words' I write,
Motion I have, I am poetry In motion.

SOMETIMES I THINK I KNOW
"SOMETIMES I THINK I KNOW"
Sometimes I think I know what love Is but does
love know who I am,
Will love find me when I'm lost or when I'm hiding
From the world?
Sometimes I think I know why life can be so unfair,
Things' I treasure seem lost and nothing Is anywhere.
Sometimes I think I know why laughter has no thought,
Do I see the joy and happiness that come from the heart?
Sometimes I think I know why all that lives Is born to
Die,
If I'm sure of anything then It's my hunger to survive.
Sometimes I think I know and at times I have no clue,
Will tomorrow even know me, where there be a place to
Think?

HANGMAN
HANGMAN
On a dirty street, in a western town back in time,
The gallows,
He is the hangman, stands always still as the shadows
Drift with time.
He is everywhere, face covered always in a mask of
Darkness,
Not a ruler but he holds the authority to life and death.
A noose hovers, it sways with the wind, waiting for those
Who sin,
You didn't just break the law, the ultimate crime
Lived in your mind.
A life you did take, murder will get you a date
With the hangman,
Many years ago when life was hard on the trail,
Guns an every day tool.
When a man chooses the wrong road, decisions of criminal
Deeds will do him in.
The hangman will watch as you climb the stairs,
Each step you will sweat,
A choice you have made, time to pay, the hangman
does have his day.

TODAY, TOMORROW, AND FOREVER
" TODAY, TOMORROW, AND FOREVER"
Today It Is that I awake to a new life, a new morning,
This morning,
Yesterday doesn't need me anymore, she holds' no place
In her heart.
Dreams' die hard fore wishes are merely a fairytale,
make believe,
Float do I on a cloud of hope and prayer, seeing my world
Day to day.
Does tomorrow wait for me, If so, look forward to my
Visit I will,
Not yet written, what words' does It have for me, does
It hold for me a story?
Forever In this world I can not be, I will fade away,
A memory I must be,
Today, tomorrow, and forever, there will always be,
A forever awaits me.

LEAVING IT ALL BEHIND
" LEAVING IT ALL BEHIND"
I stop where I'm standing, looking around,
What Is this madness born to us all.
Leaving my work, my home, and the things known to me,
Go away to a place up high, way back In the hills'.
There are no people of judgement to listen too,
The loud sounds' of tragedy lost In my travel.
There Is no anger or the struggle to survive,
Out here, only nature to hear me cry.
Leaving It all behind,
The life that was once mine.

AN INSTANCE IN TIME
AN INSTANCE IN TIME
Life is but a flash, just as a lightning bolt strikes
And is gone,
The earth is a speck compared to this never ending
Universe.
If each one us was even given a great gift of one
Hundred years,
Like a particle of sand compared again to the age
Of our world.
Like the wind blowing past and gone in the blink
Of an eye,
An instance in time is what we are given to see and
Realize.

THE DESERT HAS EYES
"THE DESERT HAS EYES"
Across the land, voyaging Into the hotness of the
Powerful sun,
I tread slowly so that I do not perish on my quest to
Finish, To weather the storm.
Many things' of Interest as I make my way through
This obstacle,
Of rocks' and plants' born to this world of natural
Wonder.
By myself I've traveled for what appears' to be a
Lifetime,
While the suns' now sinking Into the night as a cool
Breeze awakes.
There's a fear being a prisoner to the Intense darkness,
The loneliness,
Am I alone with what Inhabits' these surroundings',
They're watching.
There are many eyes fixed on me, friend or foe, how
Shall I know,
Some keep their distance, not wanting to attack, others'
Are stalking.
Seeking to steal or cause great pain.
I've seen the living proof, I'll make It to
Where I'm going.
