A CHANGING MAN

A CHANGING MAN

Sit down my darling, sit back and relax, just listen,

I’m here to tell you a story about the life of a man.

Like an outlaw roaming the countryside day to day,

Mistakes not realized as he rides blindly Into loneliness.

Selfish and angry, as this anger stole the beauty and hope

Of what the world had to offer, nothing seen through his eyes.

Riding each day Into every sunset, never watching It go down,

Wasting time, running from a chance for happiness, this man.

Into his life one day, a woman of such beauty, In his eyes he did see,

Still taking for granted all there could be, holding on to mistrust.

She went away, she went far away, she saw the sunset, not he,

A changing man lives today, he rides and rides with his head held high.

Mistakes understood, selfishness gone away, anger turned to laughter,

He can see the beauty of this world through his now opened eyes.

Wasting no time as he does not run, he watches the sun go down,

Someday with her again to see the sunrise, to watch the sun go down.

A changing man can see, a changing man Is he.

CANDLES IN THE SKY

CANDLES IN THE SKY

They’ve rested high, forever in the darkened sky,

Seen in the night, billions float beyond our seeing eyes.

Light up the night they do, a wick lit by fire not needed to glow,

Bright Is the way If not Clouded by what may come this way.

Candles In the night, not made of wax so they forever burn in our sight,

Quiet In the dark, By morning’s light there Is not until night another spark.

Hot Is the wax that melts, the light In the sky has not yet died,

Candles In the night shine still bright, what dims, what does die?

WHEN HE DIED

WHEN HE DIED

What were his thoughts, how did he feel,

When the pain left his body, where did he go?

Did he understand when god touched his hand,

When he was no more, who was he?

Did he cry or did he feel the happiness of love everlasting,

When he died the tears would subside,

No pain or sorrow would rest inside.

He was the mortal man in a material land,

His spirit and soul would be forever in a far off heaven.

Only moments ago I saw him as I walked through the door,

When he died his being would forever hide,

Who he was would never leave our lives.

When he died I saw it as not real but I did cry,

When he died I had to say goodbye as my heart found him his place

Where I could forever see him smile.

STATE OF MAN

STATE OF MAN

Becoming crippled as we sit and wait for whatever happens,

We weaken as our rights are taken away by the enemy within.

Don’t be fooled by a handshake and a smile, meaningless words from lips of lies,

Hell has come to dinner, watch as the devil campaigns for the right to take.

Grab hold and never let go of the hand of God, hang on tight, there’s a fight,

At this moment it appears that we stand with only one leg, our blinded eyes.

We have lost strength as we possess only one hand to hold each other up,

The state of man is at a critical point dear people, line up and vote for the unknown.

There is something that one human soul may do, pray for the lesser evil,

Hang on to hope and that God is watching closely, that he may Intervene in a great way.

There is a beautiful world being abused, taken for granted, like spitting in the Lord’s face,

May he strike down the evil ones before it’s too late, get ready for what’s heading our way.

THE FIRE HAS EYES

THE FIRE HAS EYES

It crawls across the land with an anger, a vengeance,

It Is she who consumes me, burns my soul.

At times so hot that there’s pain from a distance,

My soul Is on fire with that which Is a woman.

Such an anger Is possessed by an energy brought to life,

She can be warm and friendly or danger In the night.

Destroy all that’s In Its path, no conscience, no remorse,

The fire has eyes, It follows a chosen trail, It shows what hurts.

the glow of Its light Is an amazing and beautiful sight,

Reaches to the sky, touches all that’s within Its flight.

The fire has eyes, searching for that which gives It life,

She Is noticed from a heart that beats heated from Inside.

THY HEALING BREATH

THY HEALING BREATH

With a heart so pure, filled with love, he does heal,

Pain and suffering taken away, a gift given, a miracle.

With energy so strong and a powerful feeling for life,

From within his being, coming out is a healing touch.

The hurt and agony are felt by this man in his heart and mind,

This misery and fear he’ll take from you into his own body.

With his breath, he’ll inhale the sadness and death from you,

Cancer and ugliness of the world he’ll exhale and blow out

Into the wind away from the good that lies within.

Thought to be bad but in reality, a good man judged badly,

Who he is you could not understand, thy healing breath lies in this man.

GHOSTS CAN TALK

GHOSTS CAN TALK

Most of this world never truly believe that life ends not here,

Death may not be a misery that we all wait to endure.

We are surrounded if indeed you do not believe in this,

There are those and many long ago spirits which wander alone.

Most of us are not enough in thought or listening to hear ghosts talk,

Heaven is there but why are they everywhere? Ghosts can talk, they walk.

We want to believe that we are never ending, fear that we are not forever,

Odd things happen, strange sounds in the night, misplaced or lost items,

They speak in ways we can not ever dream, watch us as we slumber in the night.

GLORY OF HEAVEN

GLORY OF HEAVEN

Lord, thank you for this life, the gift you have given,

I picture you on your beautiful throne, watching what has been.

There Is much beauty created throughout this mysterious world,

You are God, creator of everything and all that we dream, see me, Lord.

I think of you as I hope for life to continue on as I am not finished yet,

Thankful to have seen this land which you have dreamed In only days.

Such a masterpiece with time limited as the glory of Heaven forever to be,

Landscapes of perfection never ending, hills of green grass blowing in the wind,

Blue skies and nature live for eternity, The glory of Heaven exists not only In our minds.

WE’RE NOT HERE ANYMORE

WE’RE NOT HERE ANYMORE

I remember when we were us, you there and I here,

We spoke, laughed, and spent time together in a home.

You and I are not alone, just not together anymore,

We got lost traveling down two quiet roads, it’s not over.

There was a time when smiles met in the morning,

Now our smiles are seen by strangers who do not care.

Our faces remain the same but we both see a different person,

The house Is now crowded with unhappy feelings net mentioned,

We’re not here anymore, when we left, who closed the door?

PHOTO ALBUM

PHOTO ALBUM,

Open it up, only empty pages are before you,

One by one, we add a picture, a scene from time,

Frozen within pages of a book, hidden with each turn.

It can not hold all that we see, not enough room for our history,

A photo album to pass along, share memories of life and family.

Not a movie, piece by piece, a glimpse of an adventure of life,

Turn the pages and find that with the passing time a book filled.

We become frozen in time, memories that we leave behind,

Expressions shared in pictures, we close the book on a simple time.
