LOSING FAITH

LOSING FAITH

Not in god have I lost my faith but in society, the human race,

Back stabbing liars, it may be that they are friend or foe.

Family, there can be nothing more Important or precious in life,

In the end at times it is that strangers they’ve become, a tragedy it is.

The work place, to give your heart and soul for such a long while,

No more words do they speak as their backs are turned on you.

Soon we’ll have no name, a number is all that remains, so Insane,

Around our world, deception, crime, and corruption never go away.

Losing faith, again not with god In heaven but in what Is called humanity,

Not about negativity or being of positive thoughts, something is wrong.

We are at the mercy of an entity, those we do not see, power and money Indeed,

There is no control for us the average mortal being, we live in the lions den.

LISTEN TO YOUR SONG.

LISTEN TO THE WIND

The wind has millions of years of echoing sounds,

An invisible entity that’s been always spinning around.

What it knows, that which it’s seen is unbelievable,

Touched has it all creations of the world.

The wind has whistled through many a war,

It has touched the falling rain in all places.

The wind has given power and force to the sea,

It will be here when we drift off in heaven to be.

Listen to the wind as it speaks from the beginning of time,

It knows where it’s been and it will travel into eternity.

LIGHT AT THE END OF THE TUNNEL

LIGHT AT THE END OF THE TUNNEL

Some walk in darkness and that doesn’t have to be a blind man,

What consumes a soul may be of danger or unhappiness.

Sickness in the world, so much is discovered,

Body or mind, scars of time are worn on the inside.

We all want what we think is needed,

There’s nothing wrong with living in happiness.

Material desires, beautiful things to be surrounded with,

A man or woman works hard for what is earned.

In the end just keep a thought that there’s no taking it with you,

As a whole we are squeezing every bit of energy and life,

This place we call home is being poisoned in every way.

Whose in charge of its healing,? we are,

The light at the end of the tunnel is our eternal peace.

LEAVING IT ALL BEHIND

LEAVING IT ALL BEHIND

I stop where i’m standing looking around,

What is this madness born to us all.?

Leaving my work, my home, and the things known to me,

Go away to a place up high, way back in the hills.

There are no people of judgement to listen to,

The loud sounds of tragedy lost in my travel.

There is no anger or the struggle to survive,

Out here only nature to hear me cry.

Leaving it all behind,

The life that was once mine.

IS MY LIFE A DREAM?

IS MY LIFE A DREAM?

Thinking about it as merely a wondering, curious thought,

My every day and all that I do appears to be a life that’s true.

Whether your time here has been of happiness or just sad,

What if and just suppose that it wasn’t yours, wasn’t real.

All that you know and everything you have, are you dreaming,

What if as you are asleep your mind has made up and written a story.

Perhaps a lifetime, the friends, family members, that which you know to be,

Has no reality, that but a dream or to awake to a nightmare of screams.

Is my life a dream,? will I awake to find that nothing is as it seemed,

Reality is not what I have seen, for what appeared to be an eternity.

What if the life you believe to be is an accident, a long coma state,

Ask yourself, is my life a dream,? what if I had a different reality.?

INSIDE THE DOORS

INSIDE THE DOORS

From the middle sixties the doors were made,

Four long haired boys from Venice would show the way they could play.

The voice of this band with a moaning pain to his sound,

Was a genius as he sang the poetry that came from within.

A noise that groans from the instrument that he played,

The groups guitarist, still here today.

Great on the Organ, he played with a wail,

Back from a time when music was wild,

Ray Manzarek in heaven, back together with Jim.

Steady on the drums with a beat that goes on,

Their drummer was he, not yet has he gone.

Roaring out his songs with the magic of their music,

Dance on fire, break on through is what this man would say to you.

He sang his poetry with an unknown rage,

Intense and highly emotional is the impression he made.

A place once visited by this poet some use to know,

Many years from here, the whisky- a- Go-Go.

I won’t be around forever he would say,

Jim left the planet on a warm Summer day.

Jim Morrison, Robby Krieger, Ray Manzarek, John Densmore.

IN THE DARK OF NIGHT

IN THE DARK OF NIGHT

As the moon rises, darkness falls,

A full moon so bright, what’s out there in the night.

They awake, life that wanders after daylight,

In the hills, among the trees, they can see.

The wolf howls, its shadow rests in the moonlight,

Hunger in its thoughts, searches in the dark.

An owl can fly, it sits in a tree,

Keeps watch from up high, everywhere nature is alive.

The coyote marches on, preying on what is not strong,

There’s a battle for survival, this circle of life.

In the dark of night, they work until dawns early light,

That which hunts, the strong will survive, in the dark of night.

LISTEN TO THE DRUMBEAT

LISTEN TO THE DRUM BEAT

Thump, thump, hear the sound that makes the world go around,

Feel the pounding of its rhythm, the drum beats hard, the heart beats fast.

Listen to the drum beat that lives inside, listen to music, the drum beat cries,

Boom, boom, echoes through the sky, thunder is the drum, it beats out loud.

Wait for the rumbling as the shaking earth trembles with an awesome fear,

Bang, bang, listen as the sleeping child’s heart comes to life in the dark night.

Bombs and gunfire sing through the war beaten land, thump, thump,

The drum beats slow, the drum beats fast, a mothers terror as her son dies.

The dancing boxer, hard hit as he is dropped to the floor, beat of his heart,

Thump, thump, boom, boom, goes his heart like the drum beat so slow.

Listen to the drum beat, to the sound of wandering feet, like a drum,

A first breath of life, a slower and slower beat of the fading, going away.

LIGHTNING

LIGHTNING

Lightning strikes in many ways,

When bad is done from a humans hands,

Lightning strikes, you get what you give.

Whether it be of evil or meanness, a message from god,

Lightning strikes hard,

A message, will you understand.?

Lightning strikes the hand of the not so kind man,

Destruction and life taken,

A mysterious force touches this land.
