WHEN THE CLOCK STOPS

WHEN THE CLOCK STOPS

It measures our time, an hourglass in our mind,

All are not equal, not the same amount of sand.

A timepiece which shows our days, hour by hour,

With the sun we plan our existence minute by minute.

Everything is measured from the creation of time,

When the clock stops we drift into a consciousness of another kind.

I BEEN WORKING REAL HARD

I BEEN WORKING REAL HARD

There are things I want back, that which has been taken from me,

Some can never be found again as the others are always within my grasp.

I been working real hard trying to rid the anger that does live Inside my soul,

Gone are things In a life that were beautiful and are a memory never let go.

The youth that once was known Is now living in the next generation of man,

I do keep hold of the energy that does not yet die, youth still lives Inside.

I have been broken In many ways, physically and emotionally but I fight the fight,

I been working real hard to get back the once powerful walk, the strength to lift.

Every day the will to stand up and take control, do what must be done to overcome,

I been working real hard to be a better me, ways that must be changed, always working.

TIME IN HEAVEN

TIME IN HEAVEN

Would there be a clock, sunrise to sunset,

Light by day, darkness through the night.

A calender, seven days in a week, do you think,

Four seasons are no more, how is time observed?

Does a day ever end, time in heaven, a mystery to be,

Birthday’s are of yesterday, age you will never again,

Time in heaven, one day we all will understand.

7 MINUTES

7 MINUTES

We all have 7 minutes before something we must do,

The same time before work is done and time to go home.

7 minutes waiting or 7 minutes up, what be the circumstances,

7 minutes in the shower, 7 minutes on the phone,

7 minutes before dinner, another 7 minutes all alone.

Time is of the essence, time never stands very still,

7 minutes late just may save your life, right on time, goodbye.

In only 7 minutes, from good to bad, your world has changed,

Snooze for an extra 7 minutes, it may do you a world of good,

7 minutes a long time to suffer, 7 minutes to love and dream.

I AM THE WIND

I AM THE WIND

Many things there are that possess strength and power,

I am the wind, I can travel further than most natural things.

Things of the earth, I am everywhere and always somewhere,

I can not be seen therefore you can not look at me, I am the wind.

I can find ways to break through and move around, I create sound,

Everyone knows of me, all things are touched by what I am.

There is much proof of my existence as I can be gentle and quiet,

I can also destroy, be of much destruction and terror to a world.

I am the wind!, I find you, I too can not see you but I have the advantage,

I am of much more power as I do not ever get tired, I am the wind.

A name I have been given to show of my difference, You know me, I am the wind.

I AM HIS SON

I AM HIS SON

He’s been away for most of my life, I am now older than he,

I was only but a child before he went away, now for me more birthdays.

He lived with a name just as I walk this life with a name given to me,

Time does not stand still, a cycle of life as one day I will travel his way.

I am his son, he lives on in me, In my sons so shall I until all Is done,

I am his son, he played games with me, I was born with the rising sun.

When they ask about him or simply say your father I once knew,

I respond In such a manner, I am his son.

I AM HERE

I AM HERE

I am here, always I am here though you do not see,

With you, I stay, accompany you each and every day.

You go nowhere without me, we are one,

I feel as you feel, I am here.

I am here when the day is done,

I am with you with the rising sun.

Your pain or sorrow, laughter or happiness,

It is shared between us, one day we will part.

I can not be seen, within you, I dwell,

I am who you are, mind, spirit, and soul.

I AM A MAN

I AM A MAN

Not of perfection, there are weaknesses that lie in my being,

Mistakes are many as I live every day in a sin filled world.

I have judged although I wish not to be judged,

In the mirror, I know of a different me, I see words of mine in my mind.

Sometimes opinions are blasted out with an echo,

Thoughts that are wished when it’s too late to keep secret inside.

Failure may happen but how can a man fail if he tries,

I listen as at times I do not hear what’s been spoken.

I stand here only a man created of flesh and blood,

A heart and soul that also in it exists good and I guess a little sin.

I am a man who understands right from wrong and will admit,

I have the strength and wisdom to go on and become a better me.

No struggle is greater than the desire in me to conquer what takes from me,

I do not know what each day offers me, I stand on my feet, getting older,

Pain visits my body as the sun rises in the early morning.

Faith and hope, the love of family, friends, and life, every breath

Keep the light bright, the fire burning, power from him walk with me.

HUMMINGBIRD

HUMMINGBIRD

Wings fluttering so fast in sight,

Yet hovering in one place, a color so bright.

Small as they are yet fast they disappear,

Where do they go when darkness is in the air.

Searching for nectar in flowers of a tubular shape,

From here to there, they move swiftly to anyplace.

Mysterious they appear, like no other type of bird,

When they pass you by, slightly they are heard.

HOW MUCH LONGER BEFORE IT’S TOO LATE

HOW MUCH LONGER BEFORE IT’S TOO LATE?

We need to open our eyes, we’ve been blind too long,

Look what’s happening to us, there’s something very wrong.

Alone it won’t be done, we must do this together,

All of us take for granted a world we live in is forever.

Overlooking the pollution we pass by each day,

Leaving it to another to make it go away.

Poisoning the resources we must have to survive,

These things that we do, one day surely we will all die.

It’s now time to change, make a difference each one,

To save mankind, let’s all stand as one.

How much longer before it’s too late,

Why do we tempt the thing we call fate.?

It’s a crime what we are doing to the ground and our sky,

It’s time to stop now, it’s our time to make things right.

We can make it work if it gets done now,

To hesitate and delay will only bring sorrow.
