A STAR IN THE SKY, SHINES THROUGH THE NIGHT

                                         STAR IN THE SKY

                 SHINES THROUGH THE NIGHT

A journey across the desert in the dark of night, they take,

To a place of peace is their search, for a reason they seek.

They look to the sky, to a shiny bright light, to guide their way,

Star from the North will show them the way to where they

Need to be.

A lifetime ago, in another land, far, far away,

A star in the sky shines through the night.

                                     HOME IN THE SNOW

Behind trees, covered in blankets of white, rests a

Beautiful, home of wood,

Winter in a forest of snow-layered magic and feelings

Of Christmas beauty.

Picture this warm and cozy setting  from your mind

With eyes closed,

A nice fire crackling from the fireplace as the cold wind

Starts to howl through the trees.

Smoke from the chimney drifts up through the air, saying

There is life here,

The only light on such a dark night comes from this fine

House of such a calm peace.

Inside, a tree with lots of decorations can only be imagined

Without seeing,

Underneath, presents wrapped with multiple colors, just

Waiting for Christmas morning,

Who lives here, Dream of them in your own thoughts of

Love and happiness,

This is where we all want to go, a special place,

A home in the snow.

                                                  WHEN REINDEER FLY

In a place so far away, a magical, fantasy world,

A Northpole dreamed up in a wanting child’s mind.

Imagination creates a world where all things are possible,

For just one night a year on Christmas Eve, they fly.

With their leader to guide them, they make a fantastic journey,

With the man in red at the reins, they follow a path around

The world.

When reindeer fly, listen close, look for them as you might

Get a glimpse,

When reindeer fly, fast as they disappear into the night.

LIKE A BLANKET, I COVER YOU

LIKE A BLANKET, I COVER YOU

Down from the clouds, upon you, I fall,

Light and fluffy but cold I am called.

To the rain I am related, to start out soft

As the earth gets warmer then am I lost.

Like a blanket, I cover you, not so warm you

Will know,

White as a marshmallow, not as heavy It is told.

Throw me you can, or watch as I come down,

Not much noise do I make as I touch the ground.

I’ll go away for a while you see,

But come back I will, for I’m always to be.
