OH! ROBIN, WHY?

OH! ROBIN, WHY?

I’ll never understand why a wonderful human being has gone away,

What were you thinking on this day, that life was so bad, what would you say.?

You made the world laugh since the days of Mork and Mindy in the past,

A gift was bestowed upon your soul the moment when you dear Robin was born.

Grow would you to accomplish a most wonderful thing, you made the world laugh,

Your voice, your own laughter echoed around the world and you sir! were a gift.

Oh! Robin, why? sadness rested in your heart and now it rests in ours,

So much laughter as behind it you wore the mask of a clown, painted face whom cries.

Today a tear sheds on many faces as around the world an echo of Robin’s goodbye,

You made me laugh, you were one of those who made me want to dream.

You now set sail on another adventure, you are cast as a star, you’re on your way,

I know in heaven you will laugh once more, I’m sure you will make Jesus smile.

I say to you, goodbye Robin Williams, the world laughs a little less without you,

We will smile and once again laugh in time, rest your weary mind by God’s side.

OH MY GOD!

OH MY GOD!

At times is it that I don’t quite understand,

Do I hear the words spoken but perhaps do not listen?

Maybe I don’t sometimes see although I possess sight,

Do you think inside of me the anger lives much too long?

Am I missing a piece of happiness that is so close, I can not see,

My mind is always spinning, I seem to have not much peace.

I watch the world from where I am and don’t like what I see,

I cannot change all that is bad but I can change some things in me.

Oh my god!, I do believe you know the answers to what I have thought,

I do believe from long ago that you knew where our world was heading.

You gave free will, we have a choice but mankind has taken for granted,

The beauty and gift of this life, is it too late for all to change what’s damaged.

A DAY THAT CRIED

A DAY THAT CRIED

A cold, cold day, a February of pain, fire reigned,

This small town of New York saddened by spirits who died.

In a moment, a second in time there were screams not heard,

Joined together to share the end, falling from the sky, they cried.

Sorrow filled the sky, tears rained from living eyes of the world,

These souls headed to destinations of difference are no more.

A day that cried as a large group of once was headed for eternity,

This trip they’ll take, a journey as one, forever they rest in heaven.

A DARK ROAD

A DARK ROAD

Surrounded by trees so old on either side, a dark road far and wide,

It is said that this road steals what and whom passes on by on a certain night.

The sun never shines on this long and winding road that creates many cries,

Within the trees, beyond the road that rests in darkness sleeps a mystery.

A quiet morning drive across the country seems peaceful but something waits,

A dark road exists as all around it something wakes and waits for total darkness.

Beautiful hills and mountains have been here for so long but there’s a new resident here,

An evil force, could this be a monster that’s never seen, a dark road where dreams are taken away.

A COWBOY’S HEART

A COWBOY’S HEART

Born in a town, his roots most important to him,

A mother and father, family mean so much.

Love for the land that he walks upon, love of life,

Precious is a horse he calls friend, a hard working man.

Maybe the love of a woman he holds in his heart,

A beautiful song lives in this cowboy’s many thought’s.

Integrity and honor is in the kind of person he is,

He has things of want but needs very little,

Watching the sun go down as he rests upon his horse.

He does what it takes, he stands always tall,

He gives of his heart, much heart, a cowboy’s heart.

A BEGGER, A THIEF

A BEGGER, A THIEF

He wanders the streets, a taste for food, a thirst for drink,

Cold to the bones, waiting for a warm place to sleep.

Asking for that which comforts his pain,

Pride and self respect are put aside.

A human being, a man with a story,

A begger today without any glory.

Taking what he wants, no morals or remorse,

Criminal thought’s, a good man not.

Working for nothing, he does not care,

He steals anything, he has no heart.

A thief many times over, a quitter of sorts,

A begger, a thief, so many differences of course.

A THANK YOU DEAR LORD

A THANK YOU DEAR LORD

It’s me again, many thoughts swirl in my head,

For this life you gave to me, I am most grateful.

I wake each morning to the rain or shine,

You’ve let me walk your worldly creation, I’m still alive.

I forget at times and also for granted take,

This life is precious, there’s much good in the world.

A thank you, dear lord, for the things given to me,

The wonders of this land at times are hard to see.

I’ll try to remember that fragile is man,

Speak to you soon, I keep trying to understand and be the best I can.

A SONG FOR YOU

A SONG FOR YOU

I’ve been lost in a far off land, baby, baby, where will i stand,

Away from you is not so fine, where’s my home, this i can’not find.

Listen to me darling and understand, i feel lonely without your hand,

Sweet little angel do you know, i love you, love you, where did you go.?

I found a place for you and me, far away from the lonely streets,

Remember my face from days gone by, do you understand why i cry.?

I wonder if you can hear this voice, the sound will echo through the night,

You are the one and you know who i am, under the stars, here i stand.

You gave me love and now i’ve lost my mind, i write you stories from inside,

A voice in my head and your pretty smile, dance with me darling for just awhile.

I dream that this is a song for you, dream with me baby, dream it’s true,

Dream with me, this is a song for you.

A PLACE WHERE DREAMS ARE MADE

A PLACE WHERE DREAMS ARE MADE

There Is a place, It takes a lot to get there, a search everyone must make,

There’s a place, It might be so far from where you stand or closer than thought.

A place where dreams are made rests deep Inside the heart, desire to succeed,

They are made with hard work and sacrifice, up late Into the night, weary eyes.

Running every morning before the sunrise catches up with you, make that dream come true,

Climbing the mountain until the pain disappears Into a numbing nightmare of fight.

Rowing across the channel against the ferocious water, It’s up to you to make it back to shore,

You can do It!, this Is a place where dreams are made, battle through what tries your mind.

Through the jungle you make your way, nothing stops a man who dreams of a better place,

Don’t give up, say this to yourself as you struggle for that fifty, fifty chance to make It a dream.

You are the men, the women who run when the bell rings, sirens take you beyond the danger,

Remember, It was all of you who passed the test so that a life may be saved, you had a dream.

Do you carry a gun,? a badge worn every day from sun till sun, this was your dream, my friend,

To win each day Is to go home and walk through that door with a kiss for a family, you survived,

A place where dreams are made, Inside the human soul, the spirit of those who never choose to lose.

A PICTURE

A PICTURE

I stand here watching as I am not noticed but observe I do,

By an old, leafless tree I watch this scene hidden in the shadows.

A long time ago I see in front of me an old farmhouse of red,

Old, withered, fences surround the house and land, many trees in the distance stand.

A sky of clouded blue is a part of this picture seen from my eyes,

To the left of me slowly walking is a young man and horse,

Their shadows follow along as they head on down the road.

Covered with leaves is the ground as the look and feel of Fall is around,

A wagon sits unhitched close to where it is that I stand,

A picture from a long time ago, not recognizing where I am.

A picture of a place that once used to be, now just a picture of a memory.
