FANTASY WORLD

FANTASY WORLD

In a world I cannot Imagine, Is where she lives,

Beautiful, dressed In a costume of unusual thought.

Around her exists’ things’ of created Imagination,

From a dream of futuristic worlds’ discovered.

She Is unknown, a name of secrecy to all beings’,

A vision of a warrior princess among a land of certain fantasy.

A way of life not known or understood by humans’ of this world,

She dreams’, she lives In a fantasy world.

FAMILY, FRIENDS, AND STRANGERS, WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE

FAMILY, FRIENDS, AND STRANGERS,

WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE?

The reality of it all is quite obvious, the difference is known by all,

A family, loving and togetherness although not always that together.

Friends are different but in some ways the same, they love and care,

Usually not living together, their visits come with a trip back home.

Now strangers can be a danger, those that we do not recognize,

They are no part of our days or home life but they exist everyday.

Friends, family, and strangers, what is the difference, things have changed,

At least for me, it doesn’t appear to be in the right order anymore, things happen.

There seems to be a disguise worn by all three, at times I do not recognize,

Sadly it is for me or perhaps I miss the gift of the fact that it depends on that person,

The difference is which of these can you depend on, which ones will be there.

FADES, DOES THE PICTURE

FADES, DOES THE PICTURE

A reel to reel movie, a painting so old,

An old photo album covered in dust.

Growing up in a town long since gone,

Relics, skeletons from our yesterday.

Memories are not so clear, gone with the years,

Sometimes forgotten, at times not remembered.

Blocking out things we wish no longer to see,

The mind is a special place of reality and fantasy.

Sometimes we try to go back from within, inside,

Finding that we are lost, our way is like a fog.

Fades, does the picture, scenes of our time,

A little taken away, as we age from day, to day.

FACES OF CLOWNS

FACES OF CLOWNS’

Disguises are worn, they hide a world of fear,

Hidden with colors’ of false smiles or frozen frowns’.

We laugh and we dance, juggle our thoughts’ and emotions’,

Our world Is a cage, a circus of freaks’ and entertainment.

We challenge our own mortality, on a high wire we dance,

Shot through a cannon to where we may land, life In hand.

Faces of clowns’, dressed In costumes, they seem secure,

Acts put on for children, are they not the young that have tears.

We dress In our own costumes, put on a face that we choose,

Is what appears’ real only a magicians’ magic, a trick of sorts’.

Whatever expression we wear, whatever makeup we’re made of,

Faces of clowns’, we all live with faces of clowns’.

FACES OF CHANGE

FACES OF CHANGE

I slip and fall, rise up on my feet to walk once more,

The hurt shows’ through, bothered by me pain of the fall.

Each day tells’ of a different story, a turning page of this time,

Memories of a face which lives with me day and night.

They pass us by, cross our paths’ for only a moment,

Faces of change In a world of mystery and surprise.

She follows’ me on a course far, far away or close behind,

Is It that I’m following her as these steps’ search to find.

Faces of difference, faces of change, go away, they go away,

Some may stay as others’ appear without warning Into a hearts’ day.

FACES IN THE WATER

FACES IN THE WATER

By myself as I am sitting beneath the warm, rising sun,

There exists a slight, cool, morning breeze around me.

Watch I do as the tall, dancing, trees stand high above,

Rays from the sun shine through the branches of leaves.

What surrounds me this day is taken for granted beauty,

The quiet is an always wanted gift that will never go away.

The calm pond water rests around me while I think and dream,

When I look down to find my reflection I see not me but that of other days.

My thoughts take me to yesterday, far, far, away as if it were today,

The water is quite still now like clear, shiny, glass, I drift off like a dream.

Faces in the water, clearly I can see with memories faces in the water,

Days of old, friends scattered with time are seen floating in the sun.

FACE OF THUNDER

FACE OF THUNDER

Appears with many a storm, it is not seen,

Growls, lets out an echoing roar from above.

Not a soft voice as it screeches out with anger,

Picture a face with mouth open wide, fiery eyes.

Traveling around, town to town, a booming sound,

Listen for the rumble, a face of thunder.

FACE IN THE CLOUDS

FACE IN THE CLOUDS

Fluffy and white in the blue sky up so high, oh! so high,

Close your eyes and with your open mind dream to see.

The clouds move but there’s a face that watches down upon you,

Let your imagination take you up in the air where possibilities live.

There’s a face in the clouds, only for a short time does it exist,

May be the face of whatever you wish.

ONCE I DREAMED

” ONCE I DREAMED”

One cold chilly night as I drifted off to sleep, what did I see,

Something happening In front of me, all around as I am still.

Once I dreamed baby, again It was you and me on a cold chilly night,

Dreamed we were together, dreamed everything was alright.

Walking hand In hand as the days’ turned to night, this I dreamed,

A pretty smile your face wears, to see this I have to sleep, dream.

Darling If only dreams’ could come true then It would be you and me,

Once I dreamed again, standing In front of me was you, dare to dream.

Again I dream, a dream that stands’ In front of me.

EYES OF JUDGEMENT

EYES OF JUDGEMENT

A blind date, that first look at a face or body,

Can we see beyond a physical sight, first impression.

A first layer of beauty, the shape of a face and body,

Some eyes can not see beyond what’s in front of them.

A thicker layer of handsome and pretty rests much deeper,

What you see may not be that which you get, take another look.

Beauty is at times not so skin deep, underneath can be most amazing,

Eyes of judgement are fast and mean, without heart or care the world is seen.
