DREAM WORLD

DREAM WORLD

In the light I saw them, a sky of Orange floating,

An army of ape men dressed in full armor above,

On a hill they stood, spread out far and wide.

Suddenly, music echoed from the sky, an Eerie sound,

I recognized the tune from an english band listened too.

My sleeping eyes saw them with many faces of fear,

Guns in hand turned before these eyes into electric guitars,

Watching Apelike men come together as a band in a dream world land.

DREAMS

DREAMS’

Dreams’ like the hopes and wishes that rest In our hearts’,

Some come true, If for us only a shattered few, like you.

Dreams’ are a look Into the future of our wanting thoughts’,

Reasons’ and seasons’ for them to be or be not.

Dreams’ may bring love to a heart so lonely and of care,

What Is a dream If never with another shared.

I dream of one day when a dreamers’ heart finds mine,

We’ll walk as one but two different lives.

DOES THE SKY DREAM?

DOES THE SKY DREAM?

The sky is always night somewhere in our world,

Does it dream as it sleeps there where it rests.?

Awake as it does to the morning sunlight,

In another place it goes to bed again for the night.

There are friends all around this wide open space

That watch over each other in its universe.

Does the sky dream,? always as it exists,

What would it say if to us it spoke.?

DOES IT REALLY HAPPEN?

DOES IT REALLY HAPPEN?

Are they out there somewhere beyond the earth,

Do they study us as we sleep, what do you think?

What happens behind closed doors, we have an idea,

But what closed doors are worse than another?

Does it really happen? yes it does, they spy from within,

The dollar exchanges hands in every land, good and bad.

They’re taken and sold, disappear without a trace,

Money to be gained in any type of place.

Does it really happen? don’t close your eyes to the day,

I’m not trying to be of a cynical mind but something is coming our way.

DO YOU REMEMBER A PLACE

DO YOU REMEMBER A PLACE

We had to say goodbye, leave it behind, in time so far away,

It still stands not only where we left it but always in our minds.

Do you remember a place where friends were together,

A place where we all grew up just a little.

It seemed like we were somewhat older then,

No! we were not, only teenage kids.

We gossiped and fought over silly things,

Our own groups of whom we would let in.

Do you remember a field, a hangout back then,

A parking lot of dirt, later cement.

A quad only for seniors, now funny it seems,

A football team of boys, champions in the end.

Teachers, some we would never forget,

Friends once lost, now friends again.

Vending machines, and lockers, classes to learn in,

Taken a little for granted so many sunrises ago.

Here’s to Esperanza high school, i’m glad it was back then,

Never a group of students and friends like you,

Do you remember a place with such friends.?

STILL IN YOUR HEAD, STILL IN YOUR HEART

STILL IN YOUR HEAD,

STILL IN YOUR HEART

Never do they go away, seen no more except in a special way,

From wherever they may be, walking a far off road or gone away.

Thoughts and memories of them keep a physical description alive,

Still in your head whether a childhood friend who lives on in life,

Maybe never seen again as a thought brings their smile and laughter that never ends.

Still in your heart, they will not die if never forgotten as their energy lives forever,

From a child we get older in a while, friends and loved ones never die, energy survives.

DO YOU KNOW ME?

DO YOU KNOW ME?

Suddenly in just an instance you were there,

I do not know you, you are everywhere.

You appeared with a name, it does not say from where you came,

A smile of mystery, a face never before seen.

I have a name, it does not speak of who I am,

A mask is worn, that I might not be hurt.

Many thoughts and fears live within my spirit,

I’ve been everywhere if nowhere.

I hide and run to keep myself from harm,

There are faces I wear, faces of change.

Do you know me at all, more than yesterday,

I speak from the heart, there is no shame.

DO YOU BELIEVE IN THE WIZARD?

DO YOU BELIEVE IN THE WIZARD?

Fable, folklore, or perhaps so very real somewhere in another time,

Like a mystical story from times of old England it seems this could be.

Possibly he lived in a great castle of stone along a flowing river,

In a time of fire breathing dragons and a sword pulled from a stone.

Do you believe in the wizard whom may have been dressed in a long black robe,

Pictures in gold color of half moons, stars, and maybe a dragon on it.

A hat of black, a wand that casts spells of magical good and evil once upon a time,

He may have had a long beard of white with a face of much wisdom and knowledge.

A magic book of spells and potions made for love and pain, do you believe in the wizard.?

DO THE CLOUDS COVER HEAVEN

DO THE CLOUDS COVER HEAVEN

On a clear night we can see beyond the stars,

Is heaven up there so far, do we know where we are.?

Do the clouds cover heaven, is this something so true,

When we can’t see the open sky is heaven hidden from me and you.?

Do the clouds cover heaven or is it seen always from our hearts,

Heaven is where, always a clear sky when we make our journey there.

DO MY WORDS TELL YOU A STORY?

DO MY WORDS TELL YOU A STORY?

Writing my thoughts changes the way in which I speak,

Thinking about what I write, explaining the way I feel.

Emotions have many parts created from a lifetime,

A story I started writing from a time when just a small boy.

I say all kinds of things fore there’s much to say,

Words have become the power that moves me through the day.

If you listen closely there are messages from my lips,

Telling you about myself, letting you know who I am.

Do my words tell you a story or do you not read what is said.?
