FIND ME!

FIND ME!

We started searching for you yesterday as you disappeared,

You were gone, no trace or clues to what could have happened.

Never giving up hope, day and night we are working to find you,

What happened?, only you and perhaps another have the answer.

There has to be a reason, where are you! could you be hurt,

Did you possibly decide to go away, I know everything is not okay,

Find me!, I am here below the shrubs, down from the main road,

I lost control of my car and crashed, Yes! I am hurt and can’t move.

The road is noticed as cars do pass by, I’m close by, close to home,

I think you’re too far away, find me!, I’m alive!, don’t let me die!,

I’m here waiting, i know you’ll find me, I’ll be alright, a beautiful night.

FIGHTER PILOTS

FIGHTER PILOTS

They soar to the sky, sound of engines screaming,

Above them the great beyond, below, land and sea.

Patrolling the skies, keeping the enemy far away,

Ready for the fight, battle if they must.

Danger is anywhere, men who will give their lives,

These are the fighter pilots born to fly.

FIFTY MILES

“FIFTY MILES”

Walk with me, shoes on your feet, let’s walk, you and me,

Strength is mine, the power has been bestowed upon this man.

Faster and faster I travel the road, my path is studied, it is seen,

All moves around me but I am the guide, I walk the miles.

They follow behind or I move ahead, they can not catch me,

Songs are thought of singing as this road is traveled, fifty miles.

Do it I will, by myself I am one, by my side there lives the will,

Every day it is that I grow stronger, fifty miles, fifty miles.

Stand with me, hold my hand and walk it with me, you are my strength,

Walk this with me, fifty miles, it’s only fifty miles, only fifty miles.

FENCES

“FENCES”

God created heaven and earth so that we could live together,

I was thinking as I walked down the street, I looked at a fence,

Touching it with my hands i realized a man would have to climb,

To get to the other side he would have to go beyond where was legal.

This is my space!, you can’t come near it, since the beginning of time,

The world was meant to share, be free to roam, we started building fences.

Around our land, fences to keep others out and mark our territory,

It’s all been broken up into pieces, always a fight that leads to war.

How can any one man or nation own a piece of the sky, stay away they say,

Beyond the sky, do we all have a right to it or is it claimed by the powerful.

Stay away from here!, this is my ocean, be warned or we go to war, do you hear.?

No drink of water for you, someone else owns this lake, river, or stream,

Dirt is not free anymore, there’s a price to be paid, money to be made.

Be careful as soon the air we breathe will not be free, who takes charge i wonder,

If we lived as one and shared the land, there would be room for every soul and man.

FEET IN THE CREEK

FEET IN THE CREEK

Beneath the trees that touch the sky,

Down where their leaves fall to the ground.

Across a meadow, beyond the grass so tall,

A creek with flowing water, I travel under the sun.

What a treat, my shoes are off, my feet in the creek,

Under these trees that have stood here for some time,

Beneath the blue and clouded sky, water touches my feet

Feet in the creek, a cool, flowing breeze, just these things and me.

AN UNCERTAIN AMERICA

AN UNCERTAIN AMERICA

Crime in the streets, it goes on in the day and by dark of night,

Anger and mistrust are now an epidemic of disease running wild.

Shooting guns are everywhere, open your eyes, beware as the enemy is here,

We are hated but laughed at all around this spinning globe, we are weakening, they know.

It is us who are deadlier, more dangerous than those who surround and invade,

Standing together we pretend, we are each one on our own, make no mistake, we are alone.

Our lives matter but only to us, there is no high power who cares if we survive or turn to dust,

Can you see it? every day the horror encircles our American way, we slowly decay, soon to go away.

An uncertain America where the flag moves slowly down, shredding a little each day,

Something wicked is coming soon our way, be well prepared with trust only in yourself.
