BETWEEN DARKNESS AND LIGHT
The sun shines bright, it then fades into the
Dark of night,
Just as the heart and soul of a human, crawls
From the light into dark.
To hide from the pain, and sorrow of a tragic day,
Hide inside and go away,
Try and forget in ways, that at the time, seem fine
To a broken mind.
Trauma is a most unpleasant visitor, as it has no
Sympathy or kindness,
Steals from one the smile, and sometimes brings
Much fear, forever scars.
Falling, a deep hole in which a soul believes no escape,
Hurting the self, appears the way,
A path of destruction with no turning back, but wait!
there is surely a chance.
You found your way lost, between darkness and light,
You must fight to make it back,
Something has happened that ripped you apart, not fair,
But was it God's will?
He knew you would fall, your test would be to find your
Way back from the darkness,
You climbed out of that hole, and with his hand, you also
Found your way back to the light.
Today holds a piece of yesterday, forever a thought, life
Does move ahead, another day.

BLESSED
"BLESSED"
I've witnessed the ugliness in the world,
Walked amongst it, throughout my time.
What then is its worth, have i missed something,
I know of the good, the great and wonderful
Things.
At times, that which is around me, gets clouded,
Sadness and anger are seen on many a face.
Within all of this, I am blessed,
Yes! blessed with ongoing life,
Blessed, with friends and family,
Blessed, with the love of a caring woman.
I've seen both sides of life, and I am blessed.

BOARD GAME
BOARD GAME
Watch the world, as the pieces move neverending,
The world turns,
We start from a beginning, moving with a roll of
The dice, a card chosen.
Does god watch as we play, is he in our every move,
Round and round we go, as this board game of life,
Takes us away.
Is the game played right, do we understand the
Consequences of our choices,
Are we the players, or are we being played, is there
A point to the game?
Could the game be everlasting, or does it end in a
moment for some,
Spin the wheel, flip a coin, take a chance, and walk
Your own path.

ABOUT ME
ABOUT ME
I have a name, it tells no meaning of what's inside,
I am not a rich man, but hidden treasures to be found.
When I love, it is that my love is true, I now love,
Wander I do, not from anothers heart, faithfully.
When it is that I'm angry, then it is that i'm sad,
patience has been discovered, not a patient man.
A thinker am I of many things, dreams fill my heart,
When I give my heart, then to the given must be a
Precious gift.
Jealousy is an unseen monster that teases my soul,
It holds no worth, Imagination of the mind, my fears.
Trust is a much needed part of my life, I must trust,
Therefore, the need for trust is needed, trust in me.
I will give all that's in me, if in return I am allowed to
Give,
About me, I give to you my heart, I share with you my life.

A WORLD OF TIME
A WORLD OF TIME
From the hands of time, to the international
Dateline,
We take our time from Greenwich, the hourglass
Is our sand of time.
Wrist watches, stop watches, twelve months in a
Year,
Fifty two weeks, three hundred and sixty- five days.
Twenty four hours to our day, is it long enough to
live and play?
Minutes disappear, seasons tick away.
We work about eight hours, with what we do,
Forty hours a week, we're never through.
Maybe two days off, forty eight hours to rest,
Only so much time to love, and visit with anyone.
Time to feed the kids, time to feed the dog,
Not enough time to stay young, awake and start
the clock,
A world of time, always on the mind.

A SAD SITUATION
A SAD SITUATION
A little bit different, a lonely child was she,
Her mother so out of touch, a young girl's misery.
Shy and feeling so alone, not much of a happy home,
She did not fit in at school, something else about her.
They would tease and torment her, watch as her
Anger grew,
A sad situation for a girl who trusted very few.
The hurt in her heart would never mend, soon the end,
So different was she, this child no more to be.

A SMALL HOUSE
A SMALL HOUSE
Along the banks of a river, is home,
Apple trees, and hills of grass live here.
A small house for a family of people,
Food on the table, and a fire burning warm.
Sitting on the porch, a fiddle in hand, I am,
A pipe to smoke, is an evening kind of thing.
Horses are down for the night, children in our
Sight,
Nineteenth century life is quite a fight.
A small house, is all we need to believe,
Hopes and dreams are seen, as far as our
Eyes can see.

BE A FRIEND
BE A FRIEND
I only ask, that you listen when I speak,
In return, I will give you both ears kindly.
Be there when I am in pain, and need a
Shoulder,
I'll be there to catch you, if in time you do fall.
Please do not stab me in the back, no talking
about me,
For you, I will speak directly to you, also if i'm
Angry.
Understand, that there is in me, no perfect piece
You'll see,
I know you are a person with human flaws, that's
Quite okay,
Be a friend to me, and a friendship we will share,
I do care.

A SEARCH FOR ANSWERS
A SEARCH FOR ANSWERS
Since the beginning of time, much curiosity of
What's before us,
Thoughts and questions had man on journeys of
Discovery.
About the oceans, such mysteries far down below,
Always questions,
Voyages to find out why and what this all means,
Neverending search.
The mountains, the sky that circles our huge planet,
That is so small,
Why in the span of time, we get only a moment to
Understand our existence.
A search for answers has been a quest of man since
The first breath given,
Never will it cease to be a search for answers to these
Questions we seek.

A STRANGER
"A STRANGER"
Cobwebs and tumbleweeds, traces of life,
And the past,
A forgotten road, not so often traveled, not
Anymore.
Where do they go, the ones we once knew
And walked with,
More and more, they become ghosts, faded faces
From yesterday.
Time slips away slowly Into my tomorrow, where
My memories are found,
Friends' are now strangers, strangers are now
My friends.
There once lived a woman who I did not know,
She lived her life without me,
In her, there was not a thought of me, for me,
She had no meaning.
This stranger that I had not met, would someday
Be the love a man could not forget,
Like the wind forever blowing, she has drifted, a
Stranger I never knw,
Where did you go! where did you go! A stranger I love,
A womam I'll never know.
