THE CHRISTMAS CLOCK

Round and round the clock hands turn,

Beautiful sounds, with every hour, are heard.

The Christmas clock plays songs of the heart,

Silent night, Gingle Bells, Hark the Herald

Angels sing.

Oh! Christmas tree, Come all ye’ faithful

Are tunes to the ear,

Throughout the day, they play in the air.

The Christmas clock tells time for the

Season,

To bed it rests in silence until the next

December.

OLD MAN WINTER

From English folklore, he does exist, he

Is Jack Frost,

He appears as an Elfish creature who

Personifies crisp, cold winter weather.

Old Man winter, he is nicknamed by

Legend, through time,

Attacks do he from the night with

A chilling blast of cold.

He is everywhere and anywhere that

He chooses for the season,

If your imagination is strong, then

With your eyes, you may see him.

Scary might he be, for sometimes

The picture of winter is just that,

Disappears with the wind as Spring

Begins, goodbye Jack Frost.

HIS DRUM WAS HIS GIFT

To give, he had nothing this boy all alone,

Poor was he, nothing to own.

a gift for a king, a babe in a manger,

Something to offer, this little stranger.

He searched, and he asked the wise men

Of the land, “what shall I do, only a drum

In my hand”

His drum was his gift, yes, this was it!

He’ll play, and play, they’ll watch as

They sit,

They watched as he played, such a

Spectacular sight,

He banged on his drum, under the

Stars of the night.

With tears in his eyes but a smile

On his face,

His drum was his gift, It was

Christmas, born in this place.

SANTA IS ON HIS WAY

                     SANTA IS ON HIS WAY

Sit back and think for a moment, back when
  Once young,

Do you remember that feeling you had, winter
  Was coming.

Thoughts of the North pole, and Santa Clause
  Stuck in your head,

Where his secret home stood was a mystery to
  All mankind.

Reindeer would fly through the night, who would
  See a spectacular sight?

Did you ever believe, that the elves hanging
From A tree came to life at night?

On Christmas Eve night, the sound of what may
Land on a rooftop after flight,

There is a magic that surrounds a child's mind, go
To Bed and cover your head,

Santa is on his way, tonight he flies with his
Eight, Tiny Reindeer, look to the sky.
                                 Merry Christmas.

                                                       Keith Garrett

SANTA CLAUS

Take a look at this man, the spirit

Of Christmas as he stands,

Grown on his face is an enormous

White beard, a jolly old man.

A red coat and hat, trimmed in white

Color, warm as he needs,

A black belt around his waist, and

Boots of black worn on his feet.

He’s known for a ho! ho! ho! and

A merry Christmas to all, Santa Claus,

As he flies through the air on Christmas

Eve, and to all a good night.

If you can dream like a child, or dream

As a child, you once were,

Up at the North Pole, he lives, a

Fantasy village, far, far, away.

ON THIS CHRISTMAS

Cold weather is coming, winter will be here,

The air is crisp, the holiday is near.

The mountains grow cold, there’s the sound

Of the wind,

A change of seasons, nature has not sinned.

There’s a special magic this time of year,

Folks starting to whisper, St. Nicholas will

Be here.

There’s a feeling of Christmas coming to

Town,

It will show you a smile, it won’t let you

Down.

So now, on this Christmas, sit back and

Reflect,

Who in your life has had an effect?

Time to sleep, Santa is close, oh!

So near,

Look out of the window to see if

He’s here.

On this Christmas, it snows through

The night,

You awake in the morning to this

Special day’s light.

HE STANDS IN THE COLD

Winter arrives, time for a visit from the

Man of snow,

When the cold wind blows and the

Temperature falls.

A storm will call him, down he comes

To stand in the cold.

He does not speak, he will not move,

For just a short time, he stands in the

Snow.

Dressed up is he, on his head a black

Hat,

A scarf of color around his neck, a pipe

In his mouth.

A nose of black and eyes of dark,

He’ll soon go away, visits again on

A winter day.

I AM CALLED CHRISTMAS

I appear, but once a year, I am the day,

The cold that comes with it is part of me.

The snow falling down, may be when I’m

Around,

Decorated trees have everything to do with

Me.

Songs of the season, mistletoe, and a

Snowman,

I am called Christmas, a celebration of

Family and togetherness.

Gifts given, love, and happiness are a

Piece of what I am,

I am a day of peace and goodwill

Toward man.

I am a sleigh ride through the sky by

A jolly old man, and reindeer on

Such a special night.

I am called Christmas, the name

Stands for many happening events

Throughout the land,

I am not one man, I am many hearts

On a December day.

HOME FOR CHRISTMAS

A place where I grew up, this town I’ve

Come back to,

Once a house that I lived in, many

Memories, I am home.

Ghosts of friends here from the past,

They laugh in the wind,

Live do they in the future as do I,

No longer boys, I am home.

Remember do I, times playing in

The snow, long ago, I am home,

Strange it is that a home,

A place stands lonely in time,

Longer than I.

Echoes the sound in my mind

Of a life sometime before now,

Years gone,

Home for Christmas, home in the

Snow, here now, but a life left behind.
