" A WISH FOR YOU"
If dreams could come true then I would
Dream of you,
A rainbow might appear In the sky, If so
I would climb so high.
On green, green grass If a four leaf clover
Were to be real,
Give It to you with a thought that magic was
A woman dancing
On a cloud, drifting with the wind, somewhere
In a wonderland.
About a lamp of magic, a story for a young
Imagining child,
Bags of gold and treasure chests, pirates
In tales of old.
A kiss from a prince to awaken a sleeping
Beauty is of love,
Walking In the moonlight, on a sandy beach,
Can be romantic.
A wish for you of never ending happiness Is
Of hope and faith,
My wish for you Is all of lifes wonderful
Gifts and smiles.

A VISIT INTO YESTERDAY
PAGE 1.
A VISIT INTO YESTERDAY
Keith Garrett
A drive in miles not so far as the journey
Through time,
This trip I took with a friend, to Yorba Linda
On a hot, humid, day.
Down the road, a boulevard with the same name
As a city I once lived,
Around the corner, closer a school where ghosts
Of friends now walk.
The gates were open, emotions filled the soul of
A man for another moment a boy.
We walked the grounds where friends no longer
Speak or laugh, Quiet all around,
Down the street and around another corner,
Amberdale To Fernglen drive, back home,
Out from the car we step, hot and humid but here
We stand in front of our childhood.
As the years pass it's a little hard to recall
Who lived in what house, So many friends friends,
Staring at my old house as a picture is taken,
Seen from my eyes is a family inside, no more mine.
Bryan Martin's house, my old friend, a friend far
Far from there as I stand and freeze a thought,
A picture,
A house from nineteen seventy two, I remember you,
The things we would do.
I stood there in spots where once my feet walked,
The face of a house where a family
Forty nine years gone, the Darcy's, a friend
Standing by my side who also once lived inside.
Up and down many streets where young girls and
boys Once played and dreamed,
Above it all, over a hill, we traveled closer to a
Playground, a school where children
Once upon a time sat in classrooms to learn and
Listen about the world we would see.
A VIEW WORTH SEEING
A VIEW WORTH SEEING
Fortunate if you are to see throught the
Darkness,
For granted do not take the gift of light,
Always night.
Scenes and visions from the mind are
Wonderful At times,
To open your eyes and nothing rests in your
Sight, A fright.
A view worth seeing comes to the grateful eyes
Day or night,
The morning light with the birds beautiful in
Your sight.
Wherever you go a picture of color awaits,
Always changing,
Each day a different view, open your eyes to
A view worth seeing.

A FATHER, A WIFE, AND YOU
A FATHER, A WIFE, AND YOU
Wondering why my hurt Is so much, let
Me tell you,
Once upon a time this man was a boy, a boy
With a dad.
Father left and went away, no goodbyes,
No parades,
My love for him was very real, now just a
Dream, A dream.
Once together, a wife had I, a family of five
Once upon a time,
Never Imagined that It could end, just a
Dreamer to have been.
Now there Is you, so what can this much In
Love man do,
You're here and there but are you anywhere,
For me anywhere?
A father, a wife, and you, two are lost, Is
There still for me, You?

A HEARTBEAT
A HEARTBEAT
Listen to my heartbeat, thump, thump,
It beats,
Blood runs through it, listen to me as I
Breathe.
A heartbeat means life, It beats fast or
Slow,
Thump, thump, it goes, a heartbeat that
Slowly grows old.
It speaks of who I am, only one of a kind,
Listen, thump, thump, with a hand to my chest
Feel as I am alive.
A heartbeat lets us know that this moment is
Still ours,
Hear it pound, listen to its beautiful sound.
Thump, thump, thump, thump, one beat at a time,
A heartbeat so precious, thump as it beats one
More time.

LIGHT IN THE WINDOW
LIGHT IN THE WINDOW
Each night as the sun goes down, darkness visits a
Sleepy town,
A usual stroll through the streets brings peace
Before dreams.
What's noticed from a man's eyes within the
Blackness Is a window,
A dark building shows off the faint light that glows
From behind a shade.
As I pass by every night along my route of walking,
I wonder about the light,
Who might be there beyond the walls, surrounding
This One and only window?
Always seems so quiet, could there be laughter or
Singing on the other side?
Someone quietly reading a book, dreaming of what's
Out there in the world.
Beyond their window, do they wonder of things that
Are a mystery to them,
Is there a possible sadness that wanders around inside,
Who might hide.
A name must be attached to a soul with a life, only a
Light In the window is seen.

AN ALWAYS CHANGING SKY
AN ALWAYS CHANGING SKY
A light shade of gray evenly covering that which
Lives below,
Clouds so heavy and thick with moisture ready to
Rain down.
In the early evening as the sun fades many shades of
Color,
After dark on a clear, starry night you can see forever
High.
Big, white, fluffy clouds of many shapes sitting still
Above Your head,
With the wind you'll see their shapes change and drift
Slowly away.
Thunder and lightning visit a dark, stormy day, the sun
Is There
Hiding beyond the blanket of nature, the sun still shines
Without sight.
An always changing sky, never the same throughout any
Given day,
The sky is always there, it is the elements that move
Through And change it.

HEY THERE, MOM!
HEY THERE, MOM!
I saw the lightly, snow covered, mountains today,
Did you see the mountains from a different view,
Did you see me as I walked today, I thought of you.
I felt the wind, the trees swayed with an echoing sound,
Were you in the trees, were you part of the cool breeze.
Mom, I was wondering if you know that we are all here,
Do you see us eaxh day as we live and try to find our
Way.
When the rain falls are you part of that which brings
Life,
Do you remember rainy days when as children we were
By your side.
Hey there, mom! you are thought of many times before
The sun goes down,
Did you see the sun today, mom, it still sets as once we
Watched together.
Keith Garrett
It's been three years, mom
MY NAME IS GEORGE
MY NAME IS GEORGE
I have a home, it's not like yours, there are no
Rooms,
If i am to have heat then it comes from the sun.
My bathroom rests not in one spot, it moves,
No airconditioner have I, the coolness comes from
The night air.
My shower is not always working, at times i am not
Clean,
I have a bed, it is wherever i may lay.
My refrigerator is always empty, it's a thing I do not
Own,
My sink is a bucket of water or a puddle i may find.
I own a television, it is all that I see,
It only turns off when asleep I may be.
There are no chairs, a sofa to rest upon,
My windows are the world, a roof, only what's
Above me.
A yard I have extends very far,
Wherever I may be, nature is all around me.
My name is george, do not be george.

I’VE BEEN THINKING
I'VE BEEN THINKING
I thought I'd call to you and talk a while,
I'm sitting here alone, I've been thinking.
What can I do to make this world a better place,
Let go of anger and sometimes terrible thought's.
Do not waste this time that I've been given,
Smile and say hello to a passerby.
Lend a hand to a less fortunate soul,
Put a little trust in man, this I've been told.
Do not take a life, be there for a friend,
Teach a child right from wrong.
Love as much as you can, hate is not a gift in hand,
Do not steal or act in violence,
I've been thinking god, I just needed you to listen.
