I’VE BEEN THINKING

I thought i’d call to you and talk awhile,

I’m sitting here alone, I’ve been thinking.

What can i do to make this world a better place,

Let go of anger and sometimes terrible thoughts.

Do not waste this time that I’ve been given,

Smile and say hello to a passerby.

Lend a hand to a less fortunate soul,

Put a little trust in man, this I’ve been told.

Do not take a life, be there for a friend,

Teach a child right from wrong.

Love as much as you can, hate is not a gift in hand,

Do not steal or act in violence,

I’ve been thinking god, I just needed you to listen.

  1. Question – are you “Categorizing” in “Poetry”, to reach your audience? And, you’re publishing a “blank shadow” each new poem…

    • you can do more than one category – when I got started, I didn’t categorize and two full collections of “Poetry” went unread – they seem to go into “Uncategorized” nether-land…

  2. So special, I love the natural train of thoughts and feelings you express so well.
    Thanks for sharing and
    following my blog too

  3. Hi Keith! Iโ€™m so glad you visited and decided to follow my blog on:

    http://randalane.wordpress.com

โ€œRanda Laneโ€ฆโ€ is primarily devoted to haiku, tanka, and other short verse forms.

Iโ€™ve just begun to explore your writing and find it very impressive!! Iโ€™ll be visiting often!

    Best Success,

  4. Thanks so much for the follow! I am always glad to find another poetry blog. I like that this poem is understandable and not full of secret messages I can’t understand, but rather is clear and what it says is worth reading and doing!

  5. Truthfully…just do what you have to in order to be happy and everything will flow from there. That’s the answer. If you’re happy everyone around you will benefit from that and you will know how to live because you just keep doing what brings joy to your life so that you can share that with the world. It works.

  6. Thank you for visiting my blog and for reading ‘No Longer Invisible Darlng Girl’. I hope you will visit again, as I certainly will do to read more of your blog here. I love your poem ๐Ÿ™‚

  7. I really liked this, which isn’t unusual or me, given how much i like poetry. But this poem is very genuinely motivated. I that makes senses. Anyways, it was awesomeness. ๐Ÿ™‚
