As a child life was so magical, running in the sun seemed forever,
The days were long, cartoons were real when once so small.
A page is written as each day we awken and we step further along,
Life is amazing as the older we get the more fortunate we really are.
Some may call it luck when there are those whom leave this world so quickly,
Others are given a gift to see the sunrise many more mornings but why.
Maybe it is luck or a plan from god and a lesson that we must enjoy life,
Open our eyes to all there is to see in this big, unusual land called earth.
There’s an hour glass, only so many Summers, so many Springs for each,
Our steps are never counted as we have only so many left to travel with.
Just as we have a date when we were born there is in gods book a date
Already written and not known for our last day, Another step closer to
Heaven, today we live until forever.

The verse did invoke nostalgic thoughts in my mind…so I should say it was a mixed poem…some nostalgia, some hope, some despair…(at having lost those moments when I thought cartoons were real!)
But its message ringed perfectly:
“Believe in who you are today. There’s a place for you somewhere in the Universe where you will given the status you deserve and the seat you need. You will get back your hopes.”
