Keith Garrett
What will it be like when the night comes to an end and the sun rises,
In it does the day have plans special, beautiful, or the reality of sadness.
What will be different or the same, i do not know what is written for the day,
Will there be peace as all walk together in a world of much beauty and concern.
Whom might i meet that’s a stranger who soon turns into a friend forever,
Can great things happen with tomorrow, things better and more hope than yesterday.
When tomorrow comes will i be fortunate and blessed enough to be there,
Many will say goodnight for the last time not knowing they wander beyond to another place.
Is it any wonder we worry each day more than we should because we waste precious time,
We’re afraid to slow down as the competition to succeed is greater while we fear failure.
Just as yesterday is gone and today is growing old, standing watching the sun fade further,
I ask myself why we take many things given to us for granted, they’re cherished most
At a time when it’s time to say goodbye and when we lose, when they’re taken away.
When tomorrow comes, if you wake to the morning light, stop for a moment and breath,
Think of all the love, friends, family, and even the material things you’re blessed with.
Although those things are the least important we treasure them more than what should
Be held dear, i found out lately, health, our word, and i now believe the hand shake.
When tomorrow comes be a better you, I need to be a better me, when tomorrow comes.
Thank you for this. I truly enjoyed reading. Peace and Blessings
Do not await tomorrow for she is a fickle mistress and may disappoint, so instead: start today.
Indeed 🙂
Thank you for this- a wonderful reminder to us all!!!
Thoughtful and well said. 🙂

I suppose the last line is a wise suggestion. In the 12 steps of certain addiction recovery programs they teach that all we really have is today. Live one day at a time and not create anxiety about tomorrow. On the other hand we must plan out our future so it seems like dilemma or contradictory.
Complicated at times. Thanks always
