CALM AFTER THE STORM

Watched as the sky turned black, a monster in the sky,

The winds appeared with much strength and power, no sight.

Thunder roared from heaven, strikes of lightning lit up the night,

Rain came down lifting the ocean higher, waves crashing agaist the shore.

Hell was here on this particular night to visit, destruction but no defeat,

So many things destroyed by the act of an angry mother nature.

The morning light would soon be here to see what had not disappeared,

Quiet now as the storm was no more, left its mark upon the shore.

There’s a calm now as the voices of seagulls are heard from above,

The rising sun is quiet as its rays shine down on what a storm has done.

The tide is a bit calmer this morning, gods beauty does exist among disaster,

A slight breeze is in the air, the sand is still now, heaven and hell in the mix.

What overcomes is love and blessings of the lord, we will survive another night,

Calm after the storm, another day will be born.

  1. I think I can vividly remember hurricane Katrina from the depiction of your creation here my friend. That was one of the most disastrous storms that ever passed USA. Very well written & a very beautiful creation. Keep safe & stay awesome! 🙂

  2. Beautiful Keith, very vividly depicted.Loved it, especially this line “A slight breeze is in the air, the sun is stillnow, heaven and hell in the mix”. Thank you. 🙂
