They said you went away, you disappeared without a word,
What made you leave and not say to any a loving goodbye.
I heard about places where you might have gone,
Traveled did i to many a town, not a clue to your whereabouts.
It’s been quite awhile now, memories enter my mind,
People come and go in this world, we’re lucky to have known
Wherever you went, whatever you’re doing, i only hope,
A thought that your life is great and that you’re safe.
I’m pretty sure that god is watching over you anyway,
If ever you need me, i’m easily found, i’ll be thinking of you.

Touching reach.
I never received a letter like this; just knowing someone is thinking about you could possibly be life changing event, but then again, maybe not. Sometimes we do not want to hear the voices form our pasts, I myself, am deaf to such voices and have been for many, many years. I had to respond to this great post.
Good poem. Hope it is not a true story. Had a friend for a year in grade school who left without a trace. Her family was in the witness protection program. They had to disappear.
