At times the words are heard inside, the sentences scrambled,
Easy to say yes! i understand, Harder to know the meaning of what’s said.
We can’ not do the work, if we are not shown how to perform,
If we do not get the picture then we do not comprehend.
Teach me to learn so that i may understand and a lesson is mine,
From a thought to a word, a sentence is formed, i do hear.
Practice with my ears and mind to overcome an obstacle,
A disability to conquer, teach me to learn, i will understand.
Keith Garrett
If adults could just learn that each child learns differently, maybe kids could learn better! Some learn by copying movement, some by reading instructions, some by creating their own objects. Everyone is different!

Thanks again

Oh – how I would have loved you as a student in my classroom!
I didn’t know why I had such a hard time in school, why I could study and never remember. I was told about 2 years ago that I have a learning disability. I have to be repetitive or I will forget.

What a shame you had to wait so long. In my school (adult education) we specialize in offering people assessments and TOOLS to help overcome these obstacles. Wish I had known you! IN any case — I’m all about repetition these days! grin.
Thanks, and now I write.

Guess you discovered your own literacy strategy! Bravo. (And you write very well I might add!)
Thank you always
