“MOTHER”

Thank you mother for the life I have,

Not a memory have I when you first Gave me life.

You saw that i was not hungry, held me close in the night,

Dressed me and made sure that everything was alright.

You listened as I spoke my first words,

Helped as I learned to crawl and walk.

You rocked me to sleep singing a song,

Were there when I was hurt, taught me right from wrong.

If I did not listen then shame on me,

If I did not learn from you, such a tragedy.

Thank god you’re still my mother,

Sometimes taken for granted you see,

You are my mother and that’s why i’m me.

  1. Absolutely great. Rich tributes to mother. We in India treat Mother as incarnation of God and to us in the order of respect mother is No. One position, father second. Teacher third and GOD FOURTH!. Great tribute. Congrats.
