WHAT A STORY A FACE MAY TELL
Moving like robots it is this thing our world now does do,
Their faces I watch and stare into as I make my way through life.
Smiles are a surprise when as I’m walking they pass me by,
There’s a look, an expression that speaks out loud with a silent cry.
I see a young woman with a tear in her eye, recently crying but why,
An angry picture an older man makes, his face has much to say.
Scared a little boy cries, all alone standing, no other waits by his side,
One walks along singing not a song, does not care, mean is very clear.
Frustration, despair, worry, and grief are masks worn in our everyday,
May the grace of god help to take these away, faces of love and happiness be again,
What a story a face may tell, look deep as it lies there without words.
