THEY DON’T WEAR MY SHOES

THEY DON’T WEAR MY SHOES

I walk fore It Is that I can not drive, I make my way to where I go,

Shopping Is a chore but I do It on foot and carry many bags home.

I have to do It In the rain, heat, but I see things that they don’t notice,

With my headphones singing to me I take notice of that which Is alive.

I have been judged by those who have no morality, they speak words of Ignorance,

If I am lost In silence then I am called the bad mood, grouchy man, I am with peace.

We can all argue till the end of the world who has a harder time In life, yay!,

I work harder than you, my job is more stressful, some make more money and pay the price.

I have a most difficult life In all that I see Is a hardship that only I can really understand,

They talk a good talk as my every day Is nothing to them, they care nothing about my Pain.

My dreams are unreal to them, these dreams I dream are a reality they can’t see,

They don’t wear my shoes, they can’t walk my walk, they can’t win the battle I fight.

They don’t wear my shoes so their words of wisdom are of no use until they walk my road.

THEY CAN’T BREAK ME DOWN

THEY CAN’T BREAK ME DOWN

They’re trying to forget about me, take away the life that is mine,

No care in their black hearts fore they are the Immoral kind.

With fear and bullying, they try to attack my thinking mind,

I’m smarter and stronger than they know, I’m not that blind.

I won’t let them defeat me, my will and spirit are a powerful force,

They believe that they can win, they are not better or above the law.

They can’t break me down or take from me my strength,

Never will I crumble or let them see a tear on my angry face.

They can’t break me down, I’m not a puppet with strings,

I’m not a fool or somebody’s used up clown.

THEY ARE THE EAGLES

THEY ARE THE EAGLES

As they step onto the stage, these professional four,

Play as they do like never I’ve seen before.

The lights shine with colors around as they play,

Their music so brilliant, out come the words.

Emotion and energy from the Instruments they play,

Songs from these men touch the heart to this day.

Don Henley by name sings from his soul,

Back from the seventies, he never gets old.

Glen Frey started It a long time ago,

This band Is his, they go where he goes.

Joe Walsh had his band before he became an Eagle,

With his guitar and voice, he adds to this legend.

Timothy B. Schmit, the voice of quiet sound,

Along with a guitar, makes this foursome completely round.

THESE THINGS OF WONDER

THESE THINGS OF WONDER

Think, use your mind and explore all there is to be,

Take yourself to places not in this world created.

Look, see with your eyes the beauty of this world,

Take in that which you never have before seen.

Listen, there is wisdom to be found from others,

Hear the sounds of peace, they are somewhere around.

Create, a lifetime is yours to figure it out, what can you do,?

Mold a better world, maybe a child into a great human being.

Cry, let the tears of joy and accomplishment run down your face,

See the tears of many years, tears of pain among the human race.

Observe, from all that you have witnessed of good and bad,

What would you change about the world, about yourself?

Stop, while you still have a chance to do something for you,

Make a difference in your life and help someone else.

THESE THINGS I DREAM

THESE THINGS I DREAM

Within myself thinking of a place in another reality,

What lies around me may be a different consciousness.

This state of mind as i am not awake, floating, floating,

I see a world like never have i imagined before, i see.

Visions sent to my brain, pictures of stories past or future,

These things i dream, a mystery from an eternity.

WHEN YOU FALL

WHEN YOU FALL

Hard! you come crashing to the ground, without sound,

The pain is so real, invisible too their sight, something unkind.

When you fall, is it something that touches from inside, can you move,

Not does this appear from a physical tragedy, when you fall I hear you call.

The weight of the world takes you down, without smiles, a darkened frown,

Look up and see the light, darkness fades, there lives a strength in you.

Pick yourself up! don’t be defeated by that which is all around, stand proud,

Life can knock you down, harder than any man with a fist of steel.

When you fall, the will to climb up from that hole, too make your legs stand is hard,

A step at a time, inch by inch higher you’ll find, see the light, walk again.

THEIR SHOPPING FACES

THEIR SHOPPING FACES

Approach do I that familiar place where food is much needed,

Headphones ready as I enter that always different shopping experience.

Sometimes I feel calm as I wander on my mission to succeed and leave,

A gathering of people, all going their own way, searching for tonight’s supper.

Amazing it is the minds of those who can figure it out and others so lost,

On their cell phones standing in the middle of isles without a clue, simply rude.

Excuse me I say as I move their cart for them, they stare and look away,

I watch their faces, not all are this way but many seem either angry or don’t care.

Here we go, the best part of the adventure is when we reach the line, wondering,

Which one to get in, I see the many expressions of frustration and in a rush.

The problem is when it’s their turn then they are never ready, talking on the phone,

Amazing as they can’t find their money, forgot how to use a card, to write a check.

These things as I listen to my music praying for a miracle that will save me from this,

The next time you go to the store take a look around, so much to laugh at, their shopping faces.

THERE ONCE LIVED A MAN

THERE ONCE LIVED A MAN

Many lifetimes ago there lived a youthful man,

He worked hard, he did all that a man can.

On his farm, awoke when the rooster said,

Watched the sunrise, breakfast began his day.

A simple man who worked hard on his land,

Crops in the field, a little money in his hand.

He had a wife with a pretty smile,

She was there when the day was done,

As he walked in from the setting sun.

Supper on the table, tired was this man and wife,

A warm fire and some conversation till sleep set in their eyes.

Children were grown, an adventure of their own,

A mother, a father, in a home now alone,

There once was a man who loved all that he had.

THE WOLF IS ALWAYS AT THE DOOR

THE WOLF IS ALWAYS AT THE DOOR

Knock! knock! who can that be at my door, not in the sense that you’ll hear,

The day may start out great, and for all you know a day so wonderful.

You stroll peacefully out the door on perhaps a nice sunny day,

To the mailbox, you arrive, surprise, surprise, what might be inside.

People are everywhere trying hard for a better life but they are watching,

Whom is out there keeping tabs on you, eyes watching from beyond the sky,

Satellites roaming day and night, do they keep watch over evil or our every night.

Helicopter’s circle in the dark, through your windows do they take notice of all you do,?

So you think your phone you own, they listen to your words, know where you go.

The computer is great but watch what it is you write or say, they know how to read,

Criminals of great intelligence are among us, they quietly roam the world seeking

They’ll take your identity or maybe your life, scams of plenty that will ruin your day,

The wolf is always at the door, a face that changes more and more, day by day.

The man is out there, eyes and ears are hidden from your view, be very aware and careful.

THE WEIGHT OF THE WORLD

THE WEIGHT OF THE WORLD

Heavy It Is, It weighs on everyone’s shoulders, the world hurts,

What to do as our world gets smaller and the number of souls grows.

Crowded, the skies are filled with flying machines heading everywhere,

Traffic lights soon will stand upon our oceans, cars may suddenly stop.

Where will all the trash go, It finds Its way Into the streets, nobody sees,

Plow It under, pretend It goes away, Into the drains chemicals make their way.

Competition to rule the world, how many bombs can be made before Insanity sets one free,

Fake smiles from those who share power, privacy Is no more as they are out there watching.

Weight of the world, It Is upon all of our shoulders but not one of us Is really In control,

We are all at the mercy of the universe but we have been given a piece of It as a gift,

The life Is being drained from It, whom or what watches as we tear it apart, we have nowhere to go.
