SIX GUN SAM

SIX GUN SAM

Travels the land, on his own he stands,

Gun for hire, if the price is right, he’ll kill any man.

A lonely road for a heartless soul,

You get what you get when sin is your gold.

He passes through most any town,

He’s six-gun Sam, someday a stranger will shoot him down,

Lay him in the ground.

A sad life indeed, he’s got no family,

Not a friend to his name, when he dies, no man will stand at his side.

Who will remember six-gun Sam,

The man who died with a gun in his hand.

FROM WHERE I SIT

FROM WHERE I SIT

Ahead in front of me I gaze at a sight,

Of a world of wonders, not always fright.

I see the good that has been upon us blessed,

Maybe taken for granted by all at one time.

Seeing at times like a soul with no eyes,

Listen again with my ears, to hear what’s around.

Opening my mind to now focus on what’s to see,

Much love around me there is to be.

Too understand all that’s been good,

And put away in the distance any bad as I should.

Things that are from where I sit.

STAGE COACH

STAGE COACH

Come with me, take a ride back in time,

The old West where stage coaches traveled by.

See the dust in the distance, watch them ride,

From many places, from here and there.

Climb aboard, passengers of a lost time,

Drive on! driver, a journey through the years.

Big wheels and horses that take you to anywhere,

A dangerous ride back in a place where bandits hide.

Indians and highway men survive by the gun or knife,

Outlaws or desperate men steal and take a life.

A stage coach ride may be peaceful somehow,

If along a safe road or beyond beautiful hills in an old western time.

FROM THESE EYES

FROM THESE EYES

In the evening light I know she is there in the crowded square,

Her face I  can not see although her beautiful hair dances in the breeze.

Maybe it’s been awhile but the scent in the air reminds me of her,

I make my way to where she stands, vanishes as never there.

From these eyes what do i see, turning around she approaches me,

You’ve been away, you’ve been gone , gone for a while I dream of your smile.

I’ve listened so long for the sound of your voice, only the wind,

Where did you go when you went away, from these eyes I did not see.

You faded away into a memory, yet my darling you still exist,

There is in front of me two roads, one is of a better day.

She stares at me and wonders why I found her in this place,

From these eyes I’ve seen many things, from these eyes there is you.

We stand together in the dark of night seeking the right words to speak,

Wondering if together we’ll walk or lonely we go our own way.

Everyone’s gone, the moon rises full on a clear, Summers night,

From these eyes I watch you staring at me, staring at me.

FROM THESE EYES SEEN

FROM THESE EYES SEE

What do I dream, look into my eyes, what do I see,

To you are my eyes beautiful, what do your eyes see.?

My eyes shine in the light, they’re a color of brown,

A face I wear but you do not see, you will not see me.

From these eyes seen are amazing and wonderful things,

In my time there have been tears shown to you, why.?

These eyes take in all that will appear before them,

Do you know me, have you seen me before.?

FROM THEIR LAND OF STRUGGLE AND PAIN

FROM THEIR LAND

OF STRUGGLE AND PAIN

They come from a land across the sea,

A place most of us will never see.

On the outside a world has a face so green,

In its heart fear and anger much to mean.

So beautiful it is but very hard to understand,

How or why there could be so much blood on their hands.

Out of this struggle four men emerged,

From their home called Ireland with something to say.

As Bono he’s known with his voice to the world,

A message he sends through the music made, heard.

While on the stage not a dancer is he,

From his heart speak the words of a man,

Whose seen with his eyes the pain in our world not meant to be.

What his music has given to his band and himself,

Too the world he gives back showing his feelings and

Care for humanity with a bit of his wealth.

They’ve been around for many years,

Too try and shed some of the worlds tears. U2
