LISTEN TO THE GHOST

He makes himself known to the dark of night,

Sounds of laughter or noises of fright.

Rattles and thumps to your ears are heard,

You don’t believe in ghosts, well listen to this.

Maybe you can’t see him but i surely have,

The sounds are there but you think it’s something else.

A soul, a spirit trapped within this place,

He haunts within these walls and halls.

Angry because of what’s happened in this space,

Listen to the ghost fore he has a story to be told,

Once he lived, he died long ago.

JUST A THOUGHT FROM ME

I want to sit down by a creek where quiet sounds live,

Trees cover me with shade, listen to the water that moves.

A quiet breeze fills the air, leaves falling down around me,

I can close my eyes and still see the beauty like a dream.

Just a thought from me as I lay here on a bed of grass,

A better world is imagined from my mind, I feel fine,

Just a thought from me as I am alone with peace.

FROM MY OWN EYES

There are many things that i can see,

The blue sky above and the light that the sun brings.

I see those whom wander all around,

They have no homes, they don’t make a sound.

I see those whom are only concerned with their own,

They have not a care for others around.

The trees that i see move from the wind passing through,

I see the birds fly fore this they can do.

What is it i see when i’m looking at you,

Is my future still to come, for us things we may do.

DAY DREAMER

DAY DREAMER

Forever lost in thought, imagination running wild,

Always wondering about things that can be, things to see.

Possibilities are endless in a mind that dreams,

Reality is a constant but a day dreamer can escape

And see what he wants to be.

At times a story of fantasy is his dream,

Knows when to open his eyes.

See what’s in front of him,

Never lose sight of that which can really be.

A day dreamer takes a break to catch his breath,

Too imagine and understand what is and what is not.

There is faith and hope in his eyes,

Nothing so wrong as to dream, too keep ones self alive.

NOISE FROM THE SKY

With a rumble it rolls across the clouded sky,

This force of nature sounds angry as it goes by.

With a crack and a boom it cries out from above,

Like the pounding of drums echoing down upon all.

Noise from the sky, thunder by its name,

A miracle of nature or the release of the universes pain.

HIS FACE IN THE WINDOW

Passing by as i do each day, there stands a house of yellow,

The yard is most beautiful with many colors of blooming flowers.

Shrubs and trees that dance in the wind, the morning sun shines,

The birds and squirrels rise early to the day, gathering what’s before them.

My days’ are the same as they are different in many ways,

The sun rises and sets while i go about every busy day.

Seen by me is his face in the window, most often you see,

His yard is always so amazing, outside he’s never to be.

I’ve never seen his face so clear as to know him very well,

Never have we even spoke, i don’t even know his name.

His face in the window, it’s all i know to be,

Who is this man and what kind of life has he seen.

Why does he only show his face in the window,

Does he really hide inside, is his life just passing by,

Or is it perhaps that he only shows himself in the night.

EVERYTHING IS ON ITS WAY TO SOMEWHERE

EVERYTHING IS ON ITS WAY

TO SOMEWHERE

We’re all connected from the beginning of time,

No matter where we are or where we are headed.

From the first sign of DNA we have a link to each other,

It has been discovered that in some way we are all related.

Everything is on its way to somewhere while the earth keeps spinning,

Think about it, a bite of an apple eaten and swallowed, an on going voyage.

From a tree planted from seed, it then grows with time as the apple forms,

The flowing river makes its way to the ocean while the ocean carry’s it away.

Everything is in constant movement or aging as it makes its journey to other places,

The wind, the falling leaves continue on even though things disappear they are never gone.

Everything is on its way to somewhere, living or not, to somewhere, constant energy.

I AM THE WIND

Many things there are that possess strength and power,

I am the wind, I can travel further than most natural things.

Things of the earth, I am everywhere and always somewhere,

I can not be seen therefore you can not look at me, I am the wind.

I can find ways to break through and move around, I create sound,

Everyone knows of me, all things are touched by what I am.

There Is much proof of my existence as I can be gentle and quiet,

I can also destroy, be of much destruction and terror to a world.

I am the wind!, I find you, I too can not see you but I have the advantage,

I am of much more power as I do not ever get tired, I am the wind.

A name I have been given to show of my difference, You know me, I am the wind.

GETTING BACK HOME

So badly have i wanted to go back to where i belong,

A house in a place where friends once visited and played.

Going back where everything has changed, nothing the same,

There are times when all dream about making that trip back.

It’s never the same when you try to go away back in time,

Getting back home, so many times we wish, but where is home?

A fantasy in our minds as time moves forward and we journey on,

We can travel back and see it for what it is but only in our thoughts of yesterday.

Getting back home, home is today, where we stand, older as we continue to dream.

DESIRES OF THE DAMNED

Once without chains, no bars to hold them inside,

Free men with the gift of choice, unwise in their thoughts.

Descent men maybe once, a moment of pure sin,

Damned to await their own fate, a day with eternity.

They committed the ultimate crime in life,

No right was theirs to make a decision of god.

Taken for granted the freedom that was given,

That which they gave away.

Missed now by them is the daily wanting desires that free men might have,

Now they await their judgement day,

As their hourglass empties, they can only wait.
