HUMMINGBIRD

Wings fluttering so fast in sight,

Yet hovering in one place, a color so bright.

Small as they are yet fast they disappear,

Where do they go when darkness is in the air.

Searching for nectar in flowers of a tubular shape,

From here to there, they move swiftly to anyplace.

Mysterious they appear, like no other type of bird,

When they pass you by, slightly they are heard.

TRAPPED INSIDE

This world of mine was at one time much larger to these eyes,

When all at once that which is out there made me start to hide.

Not knowing that somewhere deep inside there was a pain not described,

Slowly i started to run from myself but there was no escape from the monster,

I will not call it he or she as it deserves no respect for the damage it does to my soul.

Once i could run anyplace, travel the roads feeling so light on my feet, how sweet,

A clear mind free from the invisible suffering that man has put a name upon.

There remains out there a piece of life, kept from myself by only me, i want to be free,

Keeps me does it from wandering, seeing the beauty of the land as i can only dream.

Trapped inside, wishing a large part of me did not have to hide from what can’t be described,

A haunting worse than any physical hurt that can be felt, it eats you up from within.

It follows you like your shadow, fear that holds no definition from a book or mouth,

Trapped inside as there’s a powerful will to survive, no miracles as i’ll make it through.

CHAPTERS OF LIFE

We’ve all had our beginning, that place we call our hometown,

We’ll each of us have an ending, where and when we do not know.

Everyone starts out small and grows with time,

We age moment by moment in our given lifetime.

There’s a book that we all own, we make the cover,

The words are created from our everyday adventure.

Our chapters of life grow and are counted,

With every sunrise until the last sunset.

It’s an open book of endless pages until we stop writing,

A novel to be remembered by others.

Whom will judge the value or worth from our chapters of life,

Many will try, there will be those who did like it,

Perhaps some who won’t.

In the end it will be from the spirit in the sky.

SO! TELL ME GOD

Has it been since time began, did you in fact create time,

Where do you come from Lord, creator of heaven and earth.

Such a mystery you are as for each humans lifetime you are a wonder,

There are many questions and some try to answer but yet all remain in thought.

Do you have a look, the thoughts you must think as forever you have been,

So! tell me god, what were you thinking when you decided to create the universe.?

How far does it go fore only you know, does life exist elsewhere beyond what we know,

The stars in the sky are millions and bright, was there a purpose or but a beautiful sight.?

You set the planets for reasons forever explored, positioned them well, each one so special,

Everything moves a certain way, rotating always as time for us all slowly slips away.

So! tell me god, when you created the earth were we suppose to be your only living creation,

Are you sad and disappointed at the way we behave, war and destruction, do they make you cry.?

OVER THE RAINBOW

Where dreams await those whom wish,

Fantasies come to life, a heart does not ache.

The magic of possibilities are a reach away,

Hurtful things have not a place to play.

Where beautiful things can’ not be destroyed,

Birds of blue fly, they sing in the sky.

Nothing to make you cry beyond a rainbow up so high,

All the trees are filled with a fruit so sweet.

Over the rainbow where all things imagined may come true,

Thoughts of love and hope are clearly understood but heard of once before.

Might there be such a place where these things can come true.?

LIGHT AT THE END OF THE TUNNEL

Some walk in darkness and that doesn’t have to be a blind man,

What consumes a soul may be of danger or unhappiness.

Sickness in the world, so much is discovered,

Body or mind, scars of time are worn on the inside.

We all want what we think is needed,

There’s nothing wrong with living in happiness.

Material desires, beautiful things to be surrounded with,

A man or woman works hard for what is earned.

In the end just keep a thought that there’s no taking it with you,

As a whole we are squeezing every bit of energy and life,

This place we call home is being poisoned in every way.

Whose in charge of its healing,? we are,

The light at the end of the tunnel is our eternal peace.

“QUITTER”

He gave up on himself as he did on others,

To try something of a challenge gave him much fear.

Instead of standing tall and helping a fellow human being

He gave up, it was to much trouble for him,

He did not understand the worth of either one.

He did not become strong by facing his fear,

Nor a good and descent man because he never cared about much.

Their was good in him but he took not the time to work on

Or overcome difficult tasks,

The path he walked became quiet and lonely.

Because he was known as a quitter and never gave,

In return not a soul cared to help him,

They also in return gave up on him.

He was quit on, as he was the quitter.

PAPER AIRPLANES

Watch them fly, as a child, magic in flight,

Different sizes, many paper shapes.

When just a boy, when magic seemed so real,

In my desk there were stacks of paper airplanes,

Colored and ready for takeoff, imagination of a child.

They soared in the sky on a breezy, sun filled day,

I remember those times when i would run and play.

Up on a hill, standing there looking down,

My airplanes of paper ready to sail up high.

Paper airplanes in my time of youth,

I can almost feel it again, i can see it now.

I WILL FIND YOU

It was a warm Summers night when last you were seen,

Disappeared did you into the quiet darkness, but where.?

No understanding to my mind as why this could be,

Was there something wrong, what bothered your heart.?

I will find you, walk the open roads to anywhere,

Climb up high into the hills beyond the height of the trees.

Into the dark forest, fear will not weaken me,

Town after town i will search forever for thee.

Across lakes of many i will travel, i will find you,

Know that from dawn till dusk focus is in me.

Your trail is followed, the reasons for your departure are such a mystery,

I will find you, the truth shall be known.

Whether it be of force or a thought of your own.

I am known to you as you are to me,

I will find you, this will be.

DAY DREAMER

Forever lost in thought, imagination running wild,

Always wondering about things that can be, things to see.

Possibilities are endless in a mind that dreams,

Reality is a constant but a day dreamer can escape

And see what he wants to be.

At times a story of fantasy is his dream,

Knows when to open his eyes.

See what’s in front of him,

Never lose sight of that which can really be.

A day dreamer takes a break to catch his breath,

Too imagine and understand what is and what is not.

There is faith and hope in his eyes,

Nothing so wrong as to dream, too keep ones self alive.
