MAD MAN FROM DETROIT

Once before but no more with the Amboy Dukes was he,

Ted’s his name, on the stage he was something to see.

Terrible Ted at times he was called,

The words from his mouth were screams heard for sure.

Appeared to be crazy, he could speak very fast,

He wailed out his songs, now let’s bring them back.

His passion for hunting was as great as his act on the stage,

This mad man from Detroit appeared to have such rage.

He rocked and he yelled, to all he would sing,

Don’t think anyone’s like him fore the energy he would bring.

A mad man he was, and always will be, Ted Nugent.

FROM THESE EYES SEEN

What do I dream, look into my eyes, what do I see,
To you are my eyes beautiful, what do your eyes see?
My eyes shine in the light, they’re a color of brown,
A face I wear but you do not see, you will not see me.
From these eyes seen are amazing and wonderful things,
In my time there have been tears shown to you, why?
These eyes take in all that will appear before them,
Do you know me, have you seen me before?

WHAT DOES THE LAND FEEL?

We walk this earth each and everyone of us, make use of its energy and life,

Once upon a time the world began and slowly many different plants formed.

Trees began to grow, tall with many leaves, what was needed to survive was here,

Times have changed just as man has also changed always learning to adapt to this world.

What does the land feel, do the mountains cry as the cut down trees crash and die,

What do the hills feel as they burn, is there much pain as the fire crosses the plains.?

Does the desert ever laugh through the cold nights and the long heated days,

Do the rivers feel peace as for centuries they have been traveled upon, they change but don’t go away.

Does the ocean smile because it’s free to move about or does it scream as it’s treated without respect,

Are the lakes everywhere filled with happiness or do they weep as toxic waste are dumped with no thought.

What does the land feel as over the years it gives the gifts to survive and in return destroyed without care,

Listen to the sadness of its cries, how long will it be till it says a farewell goodbye.

LAND ACROSS THE SEA

Make your way across the water, across the sea,

Let the flowing ocean that surrounds us take you.

On a journey under the earth night sky to a land,

On the water it rests, hills of grassy green, a place.

See this lady they call Ireland, land across the sea,

Beautiful sounds of music from there, take a journey.

IN A BLACK CAR DRIVING

Dressed up in black, not to loud, driving down the road,

Music in my head, the boss sings out a tune, i’m driving.

Sunglasses to match this beautiful machine of black,

Eyes wandering, scenery passing by as i ride, dreaming.

In a black car driving, i’m moving down the road to you,

In a black car driving, eyes fixed on the horizon, driving.

With the window down i can feel the wind, listen to the sound,

My dreaming mind takes me to you, the way to you is complicated.

Down the road as you are not so far away, just a touch away,

A smile shows through on your face, everyday this way.

A BOAT LOST

Slowly floating, adrift in waters so calm,

Why does it have no travelers, alone.

Fog and mist surround this shape of wood,

Where has it been, where does it travel.?

No answers does it give to questions,

Drifting, slowly drifting to a place of nowhere.

FROM A CHILD’S MIND

The innocence of a child, we can see it everyday while they run and play,

Close your eyes and think back, think hard to a place where once you were young.

Thinking as only a child may think and imagine the world as the perfect playground,

For the average, dreaming, child death is a lie, an imaginary story in a scary book.

Fairytales are a reality like living forever or as i did believe one hundred years was life,

As a young boy I would lay down on the sidewalk feeling the warmth of the sun,

Listening to the airplanes fly high in the sky with my eyes closed, pretending many things.

From a childs mind it is a world of magic, rainbows, and that anything is possible exists,

Energy of a different kind is possessed, energy that an adult one day can not again find.

From a childs mind most things are simple, reason or logic has no place in their magical space,

The innocence and magic of a child will suddenly disappear into the adult world where the

Reality of survival, racism, hatred, and war will soon take their long ago Innocence far away.

COLORS OF A NEW DAY

The sun peeks its face, takes a look at this new day,

Appears over the ocean, across the sky, bright, so bright.

Yellow and orange way up high, colors in the sky,

Warmth shines from it down, down below.

A shade of blue high above, white clouds are a mix,

Colors of a new day, colors of beauty in every way.

THESE THINGS I DREAM

Within myself thinking of a place in another reality,

What lies around me may be a different consciousness.

This state of mind as i am not awake, floating, floating,

I see a world like never have i imagined before, i see.

Visions sent to my brain, pictures of stories past or future,

These things i dream, a mystery from an eternity.

THIS GUITAR

Strum as you will each string on its face,

Words in tune with every touch of a hand.

What does it say as you teach it to speak,?

Sound and rhythm of emotion, this guitar.

Two become one, body and tool, this guitar,

Learn from it, feel its heartbeat of magic.

This guitar talks with the help of a wanting heart,

Listen, listen as it echoes out thoughts, this guitar.
