A COWBOY’S HEART

                                   A COWBOY'S HEART

Born in a town, his roots most important to him,

A mother and father, family mean so much.

Love for the land that he walks upon,

Precious is a horse he calls friend, a hard working
  Man.

Maybe the love of a woman he holds in his heart,

A beautiful song lives in this cowboy's many thoughts.

Integrity and honor is in the kind of person he is,

He has things of want but needs very little,

Watching the sun go down as he rests upon his horse.

He does what it takes, he stands always tall,

He gives of his heart, much heart, a cowboy's heart.

LET’S NOT DESTROY ONE ANOTHER

                 LET'S NOT DESTROY ONE ANOTHER

Worry do we about the enemy from far away lands,

More of a chance to be invaded by an enemy within.

From protests of angry citizens, violence occurs,

Nothing will ever get better in the way they try to
  Be heard.

Rioting in the streets, destroying one's own
  Neighborhood,

How to accomplish anything when nothing you do
  Is of good.

Shootings, fires, and bombs, across a nation said to
  Be great,

We show the world ignorance, our children are taught
  Terrible things.

Let's not destroy one another as we are doing just
  Fine so far,

Wake up America, what will all this destruction do for
   You?

WATCHER OF THE SEA

                           WATCHER OF THE SEA

High above the water, overlooking the ocean,

Built above the rocks, standing tall under the sky.

With Its' eyes of light so bright, watching for those,

Guiding whom might approach these shores, looking.

For so many years It sees, watches, and waits,

As from across the horizon, travelers make their way.

Watcher of the sea, keeping your eye on what Is all
  Around thee,

Wheather the light of day, or the dark of night, you watch.

Trusted by many are you, counted on for safety,

You are the watcher of the sea, lonely as It may be.

WHEN DADDY CAME TO TAKE YOU HOME

WHEN DADDY CAME TO TAKE YOU HOME

From heaven, you noticed that something was wrong,

A journey to meet you, singing a beautiful, Elvis song.

Your little girl's life has ended, on a quiet, January day,

Down on earth you come, take your daughter's hand
  And travel away.

You now walk together across that beautiful Graceland
  Lawn,

Now together again, Lisa Marie, riding on your daddy's
  Shoulders, high upon.

When daddy came to take you home, it was so you would
  Forever be okay,

Ride the wind, fly away, to an eternal, heavenly place of
  Play.

IN A WESTERN TOWN

                            IN A WESTERN TOWN

Walk these streets, sidewalks of wood,

Where men wear boots, hats, and guns.

Women wear dresses of an earlier time,

Some of morals, others work men for a dime.

A sheriff, a deputy, to keep peace and order,

Jail is for those who can't follow the law.

A school house, a church, places of good,

Children learn lessons, a house of god.

A saloon is a place of drink and games,

A piano heard, upstairs, women of the night.

In a western town there are many things,

A stable for horses, a gunfight to end one's day,

Once upon a time in a western town.

TRAIN RIDE

                                  TRAIN RIDE

Awaiting Its' arrival, as here It comes to take
  Me away,

Sounds like thunder, rumbling down the track,
  Whistling.

Puffing black smoke up Into the air, Its' headlight
  Shining,

This monster of steel Is here, time for me to climb
  Aboard.

Listen to the hissing from this steam engine, hear It,

Take off heading through the hills' with much to see.

From out of the window, stare do I as we pass through,

Darkness from within a mountain, carved out a passage.

Tons of rock and dirt hanging above us as we travel,

Moving through this tunnel Into the light, sun going
  Down.

I listen to the sound of the power of this traveling train,

Out of the window Is a clear sky, as the light from the
  Full moon

Shines down, guiding our way across the land.

TO CATCH THE WIND

                               TO CATCH THE WIND

Out there, free In the early morning light from
  The sky,

A shadowy figure stands motionless, as the wind
  Blows across the land.

Feeling the fresh air swirling around this powerful
  Spirit,

It raises Its' head to the rising sun.

Miles and miles to the North, South, East, and West,

This great beast can run under the wide open sky.

This miracle of nature, a magnificent creation from
  Heaven,

With speed and quickness, gallops to everywhere.

Such a gentle friend, which stands up tall,

Fast, Oh! so fast he may run, and run, to catch
  Tge wind.

STRENGTH AND POWER

                          STRENGTH AND POWER

With so much force and power am I,

Formed In the beginning, only time knows
  Just why.

I travel and move up and down,

Over and under, my crash forms a sound.

All that lives here answers to me,

These creatures are many, on land they're not
  To be.

I move along across the sand,

Sometimes I'm sitting calm, other times, high
  I'll stand.

  Everywhere Is seen by me,

I've visited far off places just like thee.

Throughout time many have sailed across my
  Path,

At times kind I am to them but so many have
  Felt my wrath,

I am strength and power, I am the ocean.

STRENGTH AND COURAGE

                     STRENGTH AND COURAGE

A Navy man, a man who loves the beauty of life,

Always on the move as an eagle In flight, seeking.

Smile does he every newborn day, strength lives,

With the courage to soar like this creature of the sky.

Like the eagle appreciating every days' breath given,

He Is strong, this man of such amazing character,
  Courageous.

Soar In the sky every day of your life fore you are
  The eagle,

You are strength and courage, you do not surrender.

THY HEALING BREATH

                          THY HEALING BREATH

With a heart so pure, filled with love, he does heal,

Pain and suffering taken away, a gift given, a miracle.

With energy so strong, and a powerful feeling for life,

From within his being, coming out Is a healing touch.

The hurt and agony Is felt by this man In his heart
  And mind,

This misery and fear, he'll take from you Into his own
  Body.

With his breath he'll Inhale the sadness and death
  From you and blow out

The cancer and ugliness of the world, he'll exhale

  And blow out

Into the wind, away from the good that lies within.

Thought to be bad, but In reality a good man judged
  Badly,

Who he Is, you could not understand, thy healing breath

   Lies In this man.
