SOMETHING SO STRONG
For so long now a crushing pain, out of darkness I
Find my way,
The sky I see above rests over the mountain I must
Climb.
A glow of light finds me as i make my way up the endless
Giant,
There's a faith that guides, I am not afraid for many
Will Stand with me.
Inside this body lives a spirit of neve rending fight for
Survival,
Something so strong, It conquers the force of doubt in
Another man.
I may not reach the top but i will try, I will get there,
I'll touch The sky,
Lost was I, this man of many sorrows, a change in
Myself discovered.
Such a long road on my own to follow, travel it with me
Now and forever,
I've seen the mountain, I've climbed high with blood
And pain, To the top.
Many have come to watch my flight from the morning's
Light Into the dark,
With me they stood strong, they helped me climb when
I weakened.
Something so strong as I would not fall, their strength
Gave me courage,
The mountain still stands, again I will climb stronger
Each time.

TO CATCH THE WIND
TO CATCH THE WIND
Out there free, in the early morning light from the sky,
A shadowy figure stands motionless as the wind blows
Across the sky.
Feeling the fresh air swirling around this powerful
Spirit,
It raises its head to the rising sun.
Miles, and miles to the North, South, East, and West,
This great beast can run under the wide open sky.
This miracle of nature, a magnificent creation
From heaven,
With speed and quickness, gallops to everywhere.
Such a gentle friend which stands up tall,
Fast, Oh! so fast he may run, and run to catch
The wind.

KEEPER OF THE LIGHT
KEEPER OF THE LIGHT
Up in the air, he spreads his wings,
He stretches to the heavens and sees many things.
This God of the sun, KEEPER OF THE LIGHT,
Soars in the sky on an eternal flight.
So peaceful is he, away up so high,
Forever and ever, this spirit will fly.
Keeper of the light, what do you see?
Beyond the sun, a mystery to me.
Through the wind, you travel round and round,
Watching over this star, from you there's no sound.
I can only imagine you're a spectacular sight,
Fly way up high, keeper of the light.

BENEATH AN APPLE TREE
BENEATH AN APPLE TREE
Fall has come to visit once again, watch the leaves
Float down,
The air changes here in this place, this place of change
Over years.
One thing that stands still here among change is an older
Apple tree,
What stories it would tell if only it could speak the
Words of a man.
Beneath this old apple tree rests in a grave a man
Who once lived,
Let's say his name was Ben, who was he, so many years
Before he was.
Ben was a family man with a wife and children on a
Small farm,
A good life as he along with his family did age just
As the apple tree did,
Ben one day went away, the apple tree stayed, it has
Aged until this day.
Beneath an apple tree lies the body, the remains of a man,
A memory,
Watched over and time spent, always, a man and a tree
Together they be.

A MOMENT IN TIME
A MOMENT IN TIME
A speck of dust, just a trickle of water,
Soon would blow with the wind and dry into nothing.
Our time is now for we are a whisper wanting to
Be heard,
A short period for laughter, remembered for what
we leave.
For so long has time existed, the world, the universe
So large,
We are but a fragment, a particle of all that was created.
A moment in time was this gift we were given from
God above,
A moment to see and love all there is to understand
From this,
Where we go from here we shall not know, but hold
No fear,
Like many fallen leaves from a tree, we are one,
We disappear.

I’M HEADING DOWN THE ROAD
I'M HEADING DOWN THE ROAD!
I get dressed In the morning and pack my bags,
Open the window to look outside, the rain Is no more.
Through the clouds' appear a ray of light, just a
Little,
Wind blowing strong enough to close an open door.
A cup of coffee to get me going, breakfast really fast,
With my things' In my hands, I head for the car,
Moving along.
Saying goodbye, leaving this place, I'm going away
Today.
Nothing left In this town for a poor lonely man, I'm
Walking away,
I'm heading down the road to a place I don't know,
Into the sun.
Along the way, to me many things' of sight, driving
Night by night,
What's been left behind lives now only In a poor
Mans' mind.
I'll be doing fine, I'll be doing fine, I'm heading
Down the road, I'm heading down the line,
I'm heading down the road, I'll be searching for you,
Moving along.
I'm heading down the road, I'm coming for you,
I'm coming.

SOMETIMES I THINK I KNOW
"SOMETIMES I THINK I KNOW"
Sometimes I think I know what love Is but does love know
Who I am,
Will love find me when I'm lost or when I'm hiding
From the world.
Sometimes I think I know why life can be so unfair,
Things' I treasure seem lost and nothing Is anywhere.
Sometimes I think I know why laughter has no thought,
Do I see the joy and happiness that come from the heart.
Sometimes I think I know why all that lives Is born
To die.
If I'm sure of anything then It's my hunger to survive.
Sometimes I think I know and at times I have no clue,
Will tomorrow even know me, where there be a place
to think.

LOST IN THE WILD
LOST IN THE WILD
To step outside the world I've known,
Leave It all behind and those who know me.
Off on a great journey to see It all,
Into the wilderness as If nothing else matters'
Anymore.
To try things never tried before,
Experience life through a new open door.
Perhaps a fear of what lies ahead,
I trek across the land, survive If I can.
See many new things from my eyes,
Into the night, I hear nature cry.
Not expecting never to go home again,
Lost In the wild, Is where my life ends.

I OFFER NO SURRENDER
" I OFFER NO SURRENDER"
You sit there princess, on the shore watching,
Passing by under a full moon, am I to far to touch.
The sea Is calm, quietly my boat sails' on by,
Distant are you, away from me you stay, I wait.
Circle your world as my search does not end,
I offer no surrender, I fight through the dark
Of nights.
Here you sit, an Image of Inner beauty so fine,
My eyes can only see what a heart lets' It see,
Beauty.

HERE IS MY HOUSE
HERE IS MY HOUSE
Here is my house, built for this world today,
There is a gate so that you can't get through,
If not invited, there will be guns waiting for you.
Two dogs growling, mean as could ever be,
An alarm system that calls on those who will hurt
You indeed.
Doors of steel that should let not a criminal soul
Get in,
Supplies for survival if this land must come to this.
Here is my house, not one of dreams but of safety,
Not the way our country should be,
here is my house the way I see.
