I AM THE TIGER

I AM THE TIGER!

I roam through the jungle, this is my home,

My daily survival depends’ on the skills’ I’ve been taught.

To find my own way, too search for food,

is every day, these things’ that I do.

I’m fast and strong, part of what I am,

If I growl as I move, they know coming I am.

My colors’ and stripes say I am the tiger,

I’m a cat by nature, I live by the fight.

WHAT HAPPENED TO THE RAIN

WHAT HAPPENED TO THE RAIN?

Has anybody seen the rain,? it went away on a trip to where,

Lost is it, I hear it’s been seen roaming the sky over far off lands.

Why doesn’t it like to visit here anymore, it’s been such a while,

I remember how the clouds would gather each time and get ready.

You could smell it in the air, the winds would change, lightning and thunder,

When it began to fall I would turn my face to the sky and let it drop upon my face.

It used to be a friend and water all the beautiful plants until it went away,

Now the land is in trouble as it begins to dry up, will it crumble and turn to dust.?

Will the plants and shrubs turn to brown removing their color as they slowly die,

When will the people feel the thirst as the precious water taken for granted

Is no longer there, what happened to the rain, will it ever return again.?

WHAT DOES THE LAND FEEL?

WHAT DOES THE LAND FEEL

We walk this earth each and every one of us, make use of its energy and life,

Once upon a time, the world began and slowly many different plants formed.

Trees began to grow, tall with many leaves, what was needed to survive was here,

Times have changed just as man has also changed always learning to adapt to this world.

What does the land feel, do the mountains cry as the cut down trees crash and die,

What do the hills feel as they burn, is there much pain as the fire crosses the plains.?

Does the desert ever laugh through the cold nights and the long heated days,

Do the rivers feel peace as for centuries they have been traveled upon, they change but don’t go away.

Does the ocean smile because it’s free to move about or does it scream as it’s treated without respect,

Are the lakes everywhere filled with happiness or do they weep as toxic waste are dumped with no thought?

What does the land feel as over the years it gives the gifts to survive and in return destroyed without care,

Listen to the sadness of its cries, how long will it be till it says a farewell goodbye.

WHAT DOES A WISE MAN DO?

WHAT DOES A WISE MAN DO?

A wise man puts aside his anger before he drifts off to sleep,

A thinker before an act brings much trouble Into his life.

A wise man never bows down to the pressure from his peers,

He must trust In his heart fore his actions are his to answer alone.

A wise man has angry thoughts that hold no consequences from Inside,

If at all they switch to violence then a wise man has no words to be listened to,

What does a wise man do,? He practices In that which he does In fact preach,

He is not a hypocrite, he is calm and speaks his words carefully, a wise man Indeed.

He knows that words of stupidity are not a problem behind closed doors,

What does a wise man do,? he thinks before he does anything at all.

WESTERN WORLD

WESTERN WORLD

What was It like many generations ago exploring a new frontier,

Starting a life where everything was so uncertain and dangerous.

Indians and bandits roaming the land trying to everyday survive,

The Indians living off the land, bandits taking all they can.

Building towns where a man or family can start a business for themselves,

Settling outside this town you choose to live and start a family of love.

You’ll have to rough it for a while longer as you have for so long now,

Waking to the morning light, at times cold as a hot cup of coffee will do.

Working hard from sunup till sundown with a dream In your heart,

A cabin with a fireplace, rooms built for comfort, a roof over your head.

The old west was more than a saloon with gambling, drinking, and gunfights,

It was about survival, discovery of new places, and things accomplished back In a time.

Hardship and disease, many died, gave their lives for a better life, triumph and sorrow,

These people from the past paved the way for dreams and success here In our today.

The pioneers had more struggles than can be Imagined but also had to be tough and strong,

The old West Is no longer alive but they did leave their mark, a path across the wilderness.

They survive and live In those today who overcome and succeed, worked through their pain,

The Western world has changed but the blood and souls from the past are buried, their spirits

May be among us In ways as they are also surely gone off beyond this world where peace Is theirs.

BENEATH THE AUTUMN SKY

BENEATH THE AUTUMN SKY

From up so high life goes on down below, this is so,

It is seen from above, from the heaven where we are to go.

Beneath the Autumn sky, everything lives and has its time,

There’s a cycle of life, all things rotating as if it were a dance.

Watch as the leaves disappear from the trees, falling together,

They vanish, crumble and blow away with the wind always.

Beneath the Autumn sky, there are colors of orange, yellow, and red,

Shades of beauty that are here for a Fall season, they soon slip away.

A cool breeze in the air, animals collecting food for a Winter cold,

Beneath the Autumn sky, there is life moving as all things must die.

WE CAN’T ESCAPE OURSELVES

WE CAN’T ESCAPE OURSELVES

I guess that I don’t quite understand what’s been happening to our world,

We’re In It Together, none of us can run away and hide from the destruction.

Everything Is taken for granted as If we are owed something from somewhere,

One man Is waiting for the next to take care of the problems that exist.

I think at times we all try to hide and close our eyes to make it go away,

Our world is being destroyed for money, the mighty dollar Is evil In a bad hand.

There is so much wrongdoing from one side of the globe all the way around,

The world is not bad, those who do not care, the ones who will do anything for a dollar

Are the bad, Pollution, crime, and corruption are destroying God’s beautiful creation.

He rests out there somewhere watching as we slowly fade away one day,

There is much more to say but we can’t escape ourselves until our day to go away.

WAVES IN THE SKY

WAVES IN THE SKY

They move in layers, traveling with the force of the wind,

On a course, always heading for everywhere, not a sound though.

There’s a rumble that comes, the sound of an approaching storm,

From above all Is not calm, with a mind of Its own it then attacks.

How long will this last, until it weakens and the winds take it,

Waves in the sky are most unusual and mysterious way up high.

They roll on to where we can not see, they are waves in the sky,

Gone away and forgotten, not so much thought about really.

Until another day when waves in the sky come rolling over our heads,

The water gently crashing on our heads, no sand anywhere I say,

Waves in the sky, our world upside down once in a while.

WAR, NEVER ENDING

WAR, NEVER ENDING

War, how far back can I go, nature of man to battle and conquer,

Does it have to be with weapons, debate and discuss until no end?

Think about how ridiculous and completely sad that it comes to a killing game,

Whatever the issue it appears to be a fight as children would fight.

The difference being there is much more at stake when men can’t play nice,

War, never ending, I’ll just go back to the Revolutionary war, the Alamo,

Little bighorn, the Civil war, world war one and two, is this enough.?

No, let’s go to Korea, when it’s done, onward to Vietnam,

So here we are today with young men still gone far away.

It has to stop someday, tears and crying need too go away,

I don’t agree because all men cause war, we wouldn’t need heroes

If men would act Civil and not go to war over what they want to get, not what they believe.

Here’s to the men and women throughout time who did their duty and part for the good

Of man and that which they personally believe.

Wars are caused and then the young men and women, those who serve are wounded

And die cleaning up the mess and protect what never goes away.

WALK WITH ME, SEE AND DREAM

WALK WITH ME,
SEE, AND DREAM

Let’s walk, we’ll see, and dream,

Do you see the mountains that touch the sky,

Do you dream that they’ll always stand so high.?

Look at the clouds that pass on by casting shadows,

See the clouds, see and dream.

Walk with me into the forest, do you see the animals moving,

Dream that nature will survive, dream the animals will forever be.

Upon the sand, we stand looking out at the horizon,

See the waves before your eyes, will the ocean forever be.?

The sun will rise, away go the shadows and darkness,

Watch as the sun rises, do you see, dream that it will rise each day.

When the sun sets, a full moon will glow tonight,

Tell me you see the moon in the sky,

Dream the moon will never die.

The snow sets upon the ground, we see it fall all around,

Together let’s dream the snow we’ll always see.

Do you see the trees dance in the wind, see the trees,

The wind we can not see, dream that the trees and wind will never leave.

Walk with me, see, and dream.
