ENTER HIS KINGDOM

ENTER HIS KINGDOM

Some have said that everyone is born with a sentence of death,

Life after, to live in eternity is said to be of the greatest peace.

There is a purpose for our lives here on this earth,

Lessons to understand, too feel and experience all emotions.

The greatest joy and gift that one may receive can only be a dream

As we live and breathe here in this world,

The thought of death, to die appears as something so horrible.

Life is a precious mystery that we all are given by God,

We are blessed with the chance and knowing that one day

When our time is here done that we will enter his kingdom.

Sin will be no more, pain, suffering, and hatred will die,

Everlasting love and beauty will be ours,

Enter his kingdom and live forever.

EVERYTHING IS ON ITS WAY TO SOMEWHERE

EVERYTHING IS ON ITS WAY

TO SOMEWHERE

We’re all connected from the beginning of time,

No matter where we are or where we are headed.

From the first sign of DNA, we have a link to each other,

It has been discovered that in some way we are all related.

Everything is on its way to somewhere while the earth keeps spinning,

Think about it, a bite of an apple eaten and swallowed, an ongoing voyage.

From a tree planted from seed, it then grows with time as the apple forms,

The flowing river makes its way to the ocean while the ocean carry’s it away.

Everything is in constant movement or aging as it makes its journey to other places,

The wind, the falling leaves continue on even though things disappear they are never gone.

Everything is on its way to somewhere, living or not, to somewhere, constant energy.

EVERYTHING COMES WITH A PRICE

EVERYTHING COMES WITH A PRICE

Not only do we pay to live in every way but also with what we say,

To eat, have water, we must pay with a coin, a dollar hard earned.

The air we breathe, even dirt has a price on It, once something free,

Today, the time has come when nothing Is free, greed, pay or have nothing.

Love has Its own special price, much work and sacrifice Is most needed,

It too can be lost If not a daily concern, friendship has value, don’t take for granted.

When doing the right thing then there is also a price to be paid in another way,

Standing up for that which we believe In, too speaking out loud has a big price.

Marching against, protesting, going against the law, right or wrong has Its price,

Everything comes with a price, growing old If ever so lucky comes with a trade,

One day we give our lives to god, the thanks for a life, with our souls we pay.

ECHOES FROM THE MOUNTAIN

ECHOES FROM THE MOUNTAIN

From long ago, generation to generation stories told,

Fables and tales passed on, changing as they grow.

Beyond many Winters and long Summers, songs In the wind,

The lives of families whispered throughout a mountains time.

How long this mountain has stood can never be realized with eyes,

Echoes from the mountain, stories that drift with the passing sky.

The blowing wind, how many times has It passed across the mountain top,

What words speak from the wind, how many have the wind touched or moved?

Echoes from the mountain, voices of those who have forever passed through.

DRIVE! JUST DRIVE

DRIVE! JUST DRIVE

Jump into my car, the motor is running,

The morning sun is shining on this beautiful black machine.

I’ve put the top down, we’re gonna drive, just drive,

Feel the wind blowing through your hair, music in our ears.

Let’s head for the coast, we’ll drive along the ocean shore,

Miles, and miles of open road, watch as the waves touch the sandy beach.

Let’s drive far, we have all the time we desire,

Through the hills of green grass, we’ll drive the country roads,

For miles there’s only you and me, drive! just drive.

Nothing but beauty is seen as we head for anywhere,

High into the mountains is where our day takes us.

Almost to the sky, we can see everything from where we drive,

We drive into the night, we drive, just drive.

DRINK FROM THE FOUNTAIN

DRINK FROM THE FOUNTAIN

Fact or a fantasy, like the wishing, neverending thought that we can

Climb up and follow that mysterious rainbow to a magical land.

A four leaf clover, that search for the little green grass of hope,

Wish upon a star, will It get you far, blow out the candles,

Did you get that which you closed your eyes for?

Drink from the fountain, first, you must search the world,

Reality or a myth, could this be true, did god place upon this earth

The fountain of life, Is It possible somewhere hidden contains a fountain so true.

How can this be a possibility fore It Is said that all will someday die,

If so true then god put It In a place where no man would ever venture to.

BALLAD OF A MAN

BALLAD OF A MAN

The sun keeps going down, no ones ever around,

No one talks to me no more, I see my body on the floor,

The days and nights run into tomorrow, a little laughter and some sorrow.

Tears and crying in a world of pain, my mother went away before Spring was awake,

My dad’s been gone since I was a little boy, laughter and joy in between my sorrow.

Songs that ring inside my head remind me of things from yesterday and friends,

I started out a little boy, grew to a man who wonders where he’s going.

Brothers and sisters all over the place, I see their faces, do they have the same names,

I travel my own road of life, three children I love and an ex-wife I have never even liked,

This is a Ballad of a man who loved and cared, he did in his life all that he can.

CONVERSATION WITH A FRIEND

CONVERSATION WITH A FRIEND

Where have you been,? I’ve been searching for so long,

I tried to call you on the phone but you were no longer home.

I went to the places where we use to be,

Just standing there in the wind, memory’s of a friend.

I grew up just as you did, life changed and I went away,

There were many things for me to see, living my dreams.

I meant to call but as time went by, out of sight, out of mind,

A woman came into my life, my past was left behind.

So tell me, friend, what have you been doing,?

I stayed behind, watching the world go by,

Children of three and a wife no more to be.

Worked to survive, became older did i,

A roller coaster ride, I’ve had in my time.

I’m glad we found one another, I’ll soon be coming home,

I went away but I’ll be coming back that way.

We’ll stand together one more time,

Somewhat older as you are you and I am me.

COLORS

C O L O R S

There are many things through our eyes we see,

Images of life born to we.

Each day we awake pictures are framed,

In our minds, colors are named.

Blue is one like an ocean or sky,

Green is another such as grass or a dye.

Red is hot, dangerous, and bright,

Like lava or fire when close to your sight.

Yellow is soft and warm a lot like the sun,

Purple is sweet like grapes eaten for fun.

Orange is a fruit or a petal of a rose,

Maybe some candy or colors of your clothes.

Black is a storm or the dark of night,

Sight taken from you or things not so right.

White is milk or a polar bear,

A pair of dice or skin that is fair.

There are many colors made to be,

A favorite for all and one for you and me.

COLORS OF A NEW DAY

COLORS OF A NEW DAY

The sun peeks its face, takes a look at this new day,

Appears over the ocean, across the sky, bright, so bright.

Yellow and orange way up high, colors in the sky,

Warmth shines from it down, down below.

A shade of blue high above, white clouds are a mix,

Colors of a new day, colors of beauty in every way.
