I COULD SEE TOMORROW

Stood did i in the early evening watching the sun disappear,

A nice breeze passed me by as i watched the darkening sky.

How far do i have to see for it to be tomorrow, only can be imagined,

Far ahead of me i see many things to be dreamed, i can see tomorrow.

There are hopes of mine that are thought of as i stand here watching the day go away,

I could see what i want to be but the world has its own plan, i think of its destiny.

I see the people coming together as one, making a place of love and peace, i dream,

Reality speaks in between as i fool myself that this is a possibility, not to be.

I could see countries at peace within themselves as well as with all other races,

I stand here in my yard while another day of my life fades, never shall this be.

I could see tomorrow, bombs of destruction dismantled and destroyed, maybe,?

What a dreamer i must be, the world will be gone before this is something i see,

I could see tomorrow, the way i want it to be, what a dream, a possibility.

BEACHES AND OCEANS

BEACHES AND OCEANS

To love the beach, walking along the sand so warm,

Looking ahead of me at the pier in the distance.

The feel of the wind as i’m walking along the wet, sandy shore,

The sun shining in the sky, seagulls flying in search for food.

My thoughts are of many things as i dream of lifes pleasures,

At peace i am strolling along listening, always listening.

The waves are a beautiful sight, musical tunes crashing upon the shore,

The horizon seems like forever as i stare in silence at its mystery.

Shadows from clouds darken the ocean but only a touch,

The wonders of life that live beneath the waters are seen from within.

Beaches and oceans have been forever,

There’s a great love for me as they go on together.

A ROAD TRAVELED

When I awoke to a morning not yesterday,

Young was I as my first footsteps were learned.

Walked did I into each different day,

The more I traveled, the more I changed.

I learned of words, I saw many things,

The sun I saw rise but now it’s overhead.

The leaves I saw were shaken from the trees,

As the world turned, again the leaves were to be.

Once a young boy played in the snow,

The more he walked, the less the snow would fall.

Sometimes he would see but things could not be seen,

A road traveled so fast, a blind man was he.

He walked very far, a life on his feet,

He’s on his way back, almost home, older than he use to be.

A POEM TODAY

Thoughts, many sights from my mind, visions from the past,

Dreams about tomorrow, what may be, a poem today.

To write is a beautiful thing, whatever you want it to be,

Change the world with a stroke of a pen, fact or fantasy begins.

Share with those whom do write and dream, those who do see,

Share our stories together as we travel the world and universe.

We have the ability to take ourselves and others away to unusual places,

A poem today about the love between two, the sun and moon.

Hopes and dreams, struggles and pain of life, what keeps us strong,

A poem today that puts a smile on a face, comfort and strength for a moment.

A CONFESSION TODAY

As a child I was a dreamer, my imagination running wild,

Life was somewhat of a fairy tale, I awoke at a young age.

As my father died then much anger grew inside,

A slow process as I was shy, not really did I seem to cry.

Now a lost boy inside, kept it to myself as I played each day,

My teen years were without a father or parent who appeared invisible.

This is my view and what I believe, others may disagree but I am me,

I was never one who wanted to hurt people or animals, out of control.

I was never a bad person but did things that I would regret in many ways,

Decisions and choices would haunt to this day, some would give a change.

There are those that can not be fixed, I can mend others day by day,

A confession today, from a man who was never perfect in any way.

A BIG HEART

He was a small man but only in height,

He would lose his wife as a child was born.

Lou was his name, a man so kind,

Trying to survive, taking care of his daughter.

A job was needed, treated like some kind of freak,

Turned away, desperate, he would steal for a meal.

This is not who he was, why are people so ignorant and mean,

Confined to jail by one whom did not care, a much needed favor.

A daughter in danger, this little man with a big heart was needed,

Risk his life he would, even for those whom did look down upon,

A big heart in a man who did appear to stand taller than all.

100 YEARS FROM TODAY

Yesterday, what we see as hundreds of years ago is gone,

History it is to us, read about in books of long lost times.

The days are always moving along, we do take for granted the morning,

The setting sun is a most spectacular sight, heading into the night.

Here where we stand may still be standing, another will be standing,

100 years from today the world that we know will have much changed.

Just as we wonder what life was like back in a time of cowboys and pioneers,

Tomorrow’s people will also wonder and read about our time and place.

100 years from today we will be a part of history, others will be amazed,

Just as we are amazed and dream of those times when the world appeared too be a dream.

A MISSION FROM GOD

Sent down from heaven, an angel in disguise,

When once he was alive, a man with a name.

A mission from god, an assignment of much worth,

Too help the common man, a chance for mankind.

In some ways a lonely path, this spirit on a mission,

A faith so real as he attempts too guide the mortal being.

This angel that once walked an earthly path walks again,

Roam a land where possibly once taken for granted.

A mission from god to help man better understand,

Don’t take for granted while you still have a chance.

A HEARTBEAT

Listen to my heartbeat, thump, thump, it beats,

Blood runs through it, listen to me as I breathe.

A heartbeat means life, it beats fast or slow,

Thump, thump, it goes, a heartbeat that slowly grows old.

It speaks of who I am, only one of a kind,

Listen! thump, thump, with a hand to my chest feel as I am alive.

A heartbeat lets us know that this moment is still ours,

Hear it pound! listen too its beautiful sound.

Thump, thump, thump, thump, one beat at a time,

A heartbeat so precious, thump as it beats one more time.

EVERYTHING

Around me there are many things, they are something,

Together all become everything, not as one as they are different.

If it becomes that all these things around can not be found,

I am here alone, for the moment it stands that I am everything.

If I disappear will I become nothing and everything is around me,

Everything has so much to it as it is much more than we may even know.

For some everything is before them in their own backyard,

Within their home, everything is not only what they own,

Everything is a love, maybe only that which is important right in front,

Everything just might be all that we see.
