CANE IN HAND

We start out young just as the early morning sunrise,

Follow a path do we watching the sun make its way along.

Journey do we through the days just as the light slowly lessens,

Along the way we see many things, the sun passes over all there is.

The sun will one day set, as of now it does slowly move to the West,

Darkness will one day fall just a we will all grow from young to old,

Cane in hand we are found, at sunset, the sun going down.

WEATHER IS FOREVER

The wind, it has blown across the Earth since the beginning,

Never will we see it, feel it around us throughout our time.

Rain falls from the traveling clouds, life it brings down below,

Water from the sky, cool as it is washing the dusty land.

Heat and cold are a mixture that all are born to know,

At times a friend, at times a deadly foe.

Weather is always, it is our everyday, here to stay,

The forecast for this day, weather all the way.

STRANGE THINGS

From outerspace where it all began a mystery,

Unusual formations, there is something out there.

Under the sea, theories of other worlds below the sky,

We stand on the ground, man makes many a strange sound.

Legends and fables from the hills to the mountains above,

Far away lands of strange stories and possible magical things,

Strange things indeed, long ago Indian tales, towns that disappear.

Cities that once were, civilizations lost with the changing. times,

Strange things have been seen, strange things in dreams.

MONSTER OUTSIDE YOUR DOOR

It watches, loiters around your home, many faces,

Be careful as this stranger will attempt to get in.

Monster outside your door? what do you think,

Outside your door goes much farther than is thought.

It extends far and wide, every direction it lives and hides,

Beware as you wander, keep your eyes on what’s around the corner,

From somewhere it is there with an ugly stare.

WHAT MY EYES SEE

My eyes see differently than once a child did see,

Reality of all that’s around, a world of recognized sounds.

What my eyes see are not the coloring books and cartoons,

Not the exploring of our neighborhood and childish ways.

Not the magical world from a young boys eyes lost with time,

What my eyes see are a different kind of beauty and some insanity.

This world has changed along with the changes in me,

What my eyes see are so many things that I never dreamed.

WITHIN MY BLOG

I am always here, I share what is written with you,

You are most important as you share your thoughts also.

If you were not there then my words would be not seen,

I would have no one to tell me of their thoughts, you are there.

Within my blog there are faces of writers but all strangers to me,

We are made up of many different minds and personalities.

There is a mystery between our worlds, we follow our own path,

We listen within the words, our thoughts and opinions are heard,

We are basically invisible to one another, there are not sounds.

Within my blog there lies a congregation of thinkers and dreamers,

Supporting and commenting bring hope and motivation to us all,

Within my blog to you, keep on writing and dreaming all you can.

THIS IS THE TRUTH

The morning sky is so beautiful but pollution lingers,

We are free to wander the land with trash at our feet.

The hills and mountains are alive, fire destroys, things die,

Rivers and lakes are there, they disappear without rain.

Giant trees have stood for so long, one by one, they are falling,

There is a struggle between nature and man, not a winner is there.

This is the truth as our world spins and turns, we are all here,

A mysterious gathering of life, the Earth grows smaller everyday.

WHEN YOU SAY THIS PHRASE

It’s amazing what can make a person angry,

Notice how they are mad when it’s their fault.

I was in the grocery store and it’s always insanity,

They should have you read the rules of shopping.

You’re pushing your cart and you notice right in

Front of you that there is a cart with no one around.

They wandered off so you push the cart aside, the look,

You just look back, when they think the store is for them.

I’ve noticed this, when they are at a stand still talking,

You could call them any name in the book, cuss at them,

Nothing pisses them off more than when you just say beep! beep!

For some strange reason you have just offended them more than

Any dirty word could have, I see rudeness more and more so when

They block the Isles, stand there texting, aren’t moving, Beep! Beep!

You can’t imagine the expressions on their faces, the most dirty thing.

When you say this phrase Beep! Beep! it all stops, the faces change,

I’m surprised the police don’t come, I could say excuse me but, Beep! Beep!

This seems to work, it gets their attention everytime, so Beep! Beep!

When the roadrunner said it he sure knew what he was doing, Beep! Beep!

It will get your attention everytime, people lose their minds.

I DON’T UNDERSTAND

A matter of faith, yes! this must be as I don’t understand,
Many tales of bad things happening all over this great world.
Although there is much suffering everywhere, I never blame God,
Fore many things are the cause of man, piece by piece the world crumbles.
A story of a man I recall many years ago from a town, Yorba Linda,
He was the reverand of a church, the Moravian Church across from school.
Cared about people, loyalty to this church and his family, a loving man,
Never a bad deed, throughout life always a helping hand, I remember him.
I have been told of his days now, living with Parkinson’s Disease, he lives,
I don’t understand why a man such as this, devoted to doing good was given this.
A man of God, this is not that which he deserves, for a reason I suppose, God knows,
I don’t understand why some things should be for the wrong man, I don’t understand.

HOW MUCH MONEY CAN A MAN NEED?

To live well with the necessities of life, food, water, a roof,

Clothes on your back, enough to make a person smile.

The simple comforts of life, enough to get by with is fine,

Material things of this land, how much do we need to have?

More is not enough as every penny is worried about,

When we can’t sleep because of money then what is life?

How much money can a man need to sacrifice many things,

Settle for a little less, this life may turn out the best.
