TO SIT IN THE SAND

By myself with the wind in my face,

Watching out towards the horizon, i sit in the sand.

Above, only sky that has not an ending to my eyes,

Birds that fly, drift silently on by.

The waves are a sight, crashing on the beach,

Who would be the man whom sat here once and dared to dream.

To sit in the sand, warm to the touch of my feet,

Thoughts fill my wandering mind, what things do all of this teach.

To sit in the sand, peaceful is where i am,

Memory’s of times, all that i did in life,

Felt from inside.

A THANK YOU DEAR LORD

It’s me again, many thoughts swirl in my head,

For this life you gave to me, i am most grateful.

I wake each morning to the rain or shine,

You’ve let me walk your worldly creation, i’m still alive.

I forget at times and also for granted take,

This life is precious, there’s much good in the world.

A thank you dear lord for the things given to me,

The wonders of this land at times are hard to see.

I’ll try to remember that fragile is man,

Speak to you soon, i keep trying to understand and be the best i can.

THERE ONCE LIVED A MAN

Many lifetimes ago there lived a youthful man,

He worked hard, he did all that a man can.

On his farm, awoke when the rooster said,

Watched the sunrise, breakfast began his day.

A simple man whom worked hard on his land,

Crops in the field, a little money in his hand.

He had a wife with a pretty smile,

She was there when the day was done,

As he walked in from the setting sun.

Supper on the table, tired was this man and wife,

A warm fire and some conversation till sleep set in their eyes.

Children were grown, an adventure of their own,

A mother, a father, in a home now alone,

There once was a man whom loved all that he had.

DON’T CRY FOR YESTERDAY

We have our yesterday, a life growing up,

As a child, life can be the hardest lesson.

Painful memories, scars that carry into our tomorrow,

The good times with family, brothers and sisters we know.

In our past, our close by yesterday as adults,

We have grown and changed, hopefully for the good.

So as children or adults, as long as we are alive,

There will be a today, a yesterday, and a tomorrow.

We dream of the future, these thoughts we have today,

Don’t cry for yesterday, remember it, cherish that part of your life

You made through good times or bad,

Lessons that taught us, let us not today forget that which we’ve learned.

We are born, we have life, and ultimately we die,

In between are given an experience to see this world

That we truly don’t understand.

So, don’t cry for yesterday.

CURTAIN CALL

The last hurrah, the very last dance,

Say goodbye for the final time.

It’s time to turn out the lights,

Fade away, fade to black, not coming back.

The last words ever spoken, a final cry,

A last page in a book, the final chapter.

The hourglass is now empty,

Close the door and say goodnight.

This is your curtain call, the end of this life,

Till we meet again beyond the lit stars of the night.

IN A PERFECT WORLD

There would be no crime, no hurt filled minds,

Not a broken heart, no sorrowful cries.

No reason to say goodbye if no one went away or died,

Trash on the ground would not be found.

No hungry souls, no suffering for the old,

Prejudice and hate would not look you in the eyes.

No thought of murder, no wounds of war,

Not a lie from a tongue that causes pain,

Emotional scars would never be claimed.

In a perfect world there would be no fear,

Not a poisoned word heard from an ear,

In a perfect world, heaven is the word.

THESE THINGS OF WONDER

Think, use your mind and explore all there is to be,

Take yourself to places not in this world created.

Look, see with your eyes the beauty of this world,

Take in that which you never have before seen.

Listen, there is wisdom to be found from others,

Hear the sounds of peace, they are somewhere around.

Create, a lifetime is yours to figure it out, what can you do,?

Mold a better world, maybe a child into a great human being.

Cry, let the tears of joy and accomplishment run down your face,

See the tears of many years, tears of pain among the human race.

Observe, from all that you have witnessed of good and bad,

What would you change about the world, about yourself.

Stop, while you still have a chance do something for you,

Make a difference in your life and help someone else.

REMEMBER YESTERDAY

See the children back in the day, at play,

Worries were few and friends we thought would never go away.

As we grow older some of that magic fades,

Young at heart is the one whom can remember yesterday.

The years go by and most of us change,

No idea that walking among us or passing by may be that

Childhood friend but we no longer see them.

At times they are missed, thought of in a special way,

If ever so lucky, again we may have a moment,

A day remembering with them our time of play.

Remember yesterday, in your heart, let it remain.

IF YOU HAD NO TOMORROW

Would the birds be a sound singing in your ear,

The mountains not so much appreciated, would their beauty appear.

Would you see the sky in a different way,

Things would become precious for only a day.

The taste of a peach would rest in your mouth,

No time to fight as the hourglass runs out.

The wind against your face, the oceans spray,

Your feet in the sand, to loved ones, what would you say.?

If you had no tomorrow, if you could do one last thing,

Would you thank the lord for giving you everything.?

IF YOU BELIEVED IN SANTA, YOU CAN BELIEVE IN GOD, BELIEVE IN JESUS

When you were a child you believed in Santa as he flew across the sky,

He traveled the night bringing presents to children throughout the world.

He lived at a magical place up at the north pole where elves made toys,

Reindeer that flew you thought were real, then listen to this if you believed in Santa.

He created the universe, heaven and earth are a masterpiece from god in heaven,

If you do pray then you will see and feel special things of hope and peace in your life.

You can believe in god because the cycle of life is a magnificent gift without coincidence,

It may be that we don’t see god physically but if we believe then we see him with our hearts.

Believe in Jesus as he did once walk this earth over two thousand years before,

He was a real man whom spread the words of god and was a hard working carpenter.

The son of god he is if in your heart you believe just as you could believe in fairy tales,

It is truth that Jesus sacrificed his life for others as he died in pain on a cross of reality.
